For anyone confused by the scoring system: If a team gets 1st and 2nd they receive 3 points for the win, and the opponent 0. 1st and 3rd gets 2 points for the winner, and 1 for the loser; and if a team gets 1st and 4th, the match is a draw and both teams receive 1 point. You can see the point tally at the top middle during each round. Also, an "identity" refers to a specific section of a map that is particularly difficult to master. Identities can make or break a team's performance on a map.

Carl and Pac are the best by far. I dont see anyone beating them even in stage 2. Imagine if both of them were full time, it would be gg even before the season starts. Only a Mime/Mudda or Mime/Gwen duo would have a small chance of winning against them.

The amount of chatting here in the comments is insane. Having to play against Carl & Pac in a grand final is basically the most pressure you can possibly feel in TrackMania. Making mistakes in that kind of situation while having to push on extremely hard maps is absolutely understandable and would happen to basically anyone. But then again, division 30 players blaming Aurel for "throwing every round" and saying Affi needs a new team mate 🤡 Great match here from Solary and incredible overall season by BDS, they overbid everyones expectations 💪

its not hate, it's criticism, which is rightly deserved, in about 90% if not more Aurel was last, and also by a large margin. Ofcourse Solary did amazing, but the reason BDS lost was because Aurel couldn't handle the pressure and thus underperformed.. Saying affi needs a new teammate may be a rough take but if BDS wants to win in the future Aurel needs to up his game to get to the top level or a roster change is necessary.

You are watching the finals, first it means that every team did a worse performance at one point that BDS and Solary. So maybe now you can see how your reasoning is absolutly biased. Just like in any science field, its not with one sample that you draw results and its unbelievable people like your comments, they are all agreeing that they dont know how to make an argument. When I watch something like this, right here, I see potential for world wide appeal for Esports. Forget DOTA, Forget League of legends. This is for the everyman. Anyone can look at this for just a few seconds and know exactly what's going on, but also get really invested in the excitement.

You have Trackmania Grand League (TMGL) and Trackmania Challenger League (TMCL) which Scrapie plays in for Sprout. The event is called Trackmania World Tour (TMWT). So the event is made by Nadeo, the matches are very often at 5pm CEST with on saturday the TMCL matches and sunday the TMGL matches. Btw this sunday there will be matches before stage 2 at 4pm CEST with everyone from TMCL and TMGL. mixed together.

I love a good Wirt/Jnic cast! This final was awesome! Tons of skill shown by both teams. My biggest gripe is when casters view the situation from the perspective of only one team. To express ONLY disappointment when Solary does well, is unfair to them as the winners. I understand that casting is all about telling the story woven into the events that are unfolding. But when Solary snipes a map, and all we get is “Ahh that’s so unfortunate,” it feels biased. Just my opinion. Great vid as always.

There is a separate tournament for solos, called the Trackmania World Cup. Which Carl Jr has won 5 times which is by far the most ever. This tournament is specifically for teams.

The ends of the world tour maps are all particularly difficult parts, requiring a high level of precision. These are the identities. They're designed to be hard enough that even pro players can mess them up somewhat regularly, in contrast to the rest of the maps which are more standard racing. It's to add a bit of spice, so that even if a team is behind, the team ahead can still mess up the ending.

If the leaderboard is a thick sandwich, it's a draw, if the podium is a sandwich, it's a normal win, and second place gains a point, and ace is evident.

How a draw works is. First and last place for one team, second and third place for another team = a draw.
