I honestly think Ruyi would have taken him back in a heartbeat. If he had expressed one bit of regret, if he had said one "I'm sorry" if he had done anything to show remorse, some sign of the person she married, she would have tried again because that's who she is, resilent, kind, loyal. But the emperor is none of those things and she couldnt trust him ever again. How far can you push one person until they break.

I loved this movie from the beginning until he started mistreating Ruyi and doubted her true love for him. Ruyi was loyal, his strengthen, and rock to his soul, but he couldn't bring himself to have faith and trust in her. Made me very mad.
