I would love more of this and Ready or Not. I do think they need a casual mode where it's just like 6 on 6 with no SBMM involved. Where it's more like a Team Fortress style mode. But the tournament mode is fun when you want some sweat and good videos.

the skill ceiling is definitely not that high compared to most other fps games…that’s a big part of why it’s so popular to casuals as well, meanwhile a game like hyperscape died. In hyperscape, if you were good you were like an untouchable god lol

I wouldn't say the ceiling is high, however, there are A LOT of advanced techniques and little mechanics to use that will elevate you to the higher levels of gameplay rather than if you just played on your own.

The skill ceiling is high but the learning curve for basic mechanics is short. The maps are also impeccable and easy to learn and dont get boring. If you are good at other FPS you will be good at this. They prioritized having FUN while still giving you the option to progress to advanced gameplay.

The FINALS is so fun to watch an play. I hope they add just a bit more announcer feed back that's not intrusive but helpful to the spectator that may like to watch with no commentary.

Respectfully, that's not required. With the destruction and all the variations adding complexity, more maps wouldn't be better. The maps are already large, if there is too much map to learn then I wouldn't be interested. I doubt that you've experienced even 5% of the variations that the current maps offer.

I've played hundreds and hundreds of rounds and none of them were the same. Throwing more geometry at the game is Activision's business model. But that investment in resources is better spent elsewhere. I just hope that they don't take advice from KZbin comments.

@@MrJBA79 I totally get what you're saying, what I meant by more maps is a different environment other than the modern type of maps like casinos and cities more like jungles and swamps with more environmental elements would be very cool to see lets say 4 months from now, because playing the same map over and over will become boring eventually. I'm not asking for a large number of maps like CoD just some change in scenery down the road.

Even the same base maps with different aesthetics (if that's easier than churning out 15 maps, no clue) would be awesome. You could have 4-6 maps but with tons of variety simply by changing the visuals.

I thought this game's release was going to have You and Aculite and Jack and Stone making a ton of videos. Especially with how much you all praised it. Yeah, I've been playing some when I can but every game under the sun seemed to release during the month of December 😅 It's like we were discussing at the start of the video too... There isn't much in terms of content on the KZbin side of things to be constantly covering the game in that sort of way due to the limitations of arena shooters in general. People would rather play than watch somebody else.

I think a big part of what will get people watching the videos (and to continue watching them) is a combination of action (that this game definitely has), the creator that's playing it, and that the game keeps things moving forward rather than stagnating (which the devs seem like they're committed to, at least for now). If the devs suddenly did a rug pull and stopped supporting the game, I think viewership would dry up pretty quickly, but I don't think that will be a problem. I don't watch many streamers, but I make it a point to watch anytime that yourself, Aculite or JackFrags upload, as you tend to play games that you enjoy, rather than simply to appease the algorithm, and it definitely comes through in the videos. As cheesy as it sounds, at least in regards to your uploads, keep doing what you've been doing and the support will be there.

The laser gate perimeter activates periodically. As long as no one trips the laser when it’s active, the turret stays inactive. Otherwise, it targets anyone and everyone.

I agree with the content ideas for The Finals. I am interested in the game, it looks like a lot of fun, especially the way buildings can be demolished. However I've never been a big fan of pvp/competition. A coop mode or more 'arcade' modes could be fun. I don't know if the devs are able to create some ai, if they can they'll have a solid coop experience on their hands. It has a certain link to Rainbow 6 Siege, not just the map destruction, but also the needed teamwork plays a part. In my case, I like Tarkov but not the pvp part, I would wish there was a coop mode for it.

This game will last as long as the gameplay loop stays simple as it is. It will die if too many new classes / abilities get added. This keeps the entry level for new and most importantly returning players know what's going on without having to think about it. The reason it does not have a following is because it has no lore or rule 34 characters and that just leaves the gameplay to carry it. The map destruction keeps the gameplay loop fresh and I believe with the right leadership this game could be the rocket league of fps games. edit - The only thing that would make me a happy person is some type of shock rifle mechanic, unreal tournament got me into pc gaming and I wish that gun was more common.

When I was a kid they thought that this type of gladiatorial contest would be the future of sports entertainment. They invested a lot of money into it and it was revived more recently with shows like Wipe Out. Anyway, the timing is great for them to stand on the shoulders of those who came before. I enjoy it. Love the vibe and originality. But I didn’t get hooked. Same feeling as a 6v6 in cod. A couple of rounds and I’m done. I think it will become a niche game for sweats. I haven’t played for 2 weeks and I don’t miss it but I understand what there is to love about it.
