The pike nerf is so weird to me. I didn’t even see a lot of people using it anymore and I personally found it fairly tough to even use before this patch. It’s so baffling that with every patch, they keep funnelling more and more mediums into using the model and they refuse to make a meaningful nerf with that weapon too.

Poor pike users. My main medium but I pretty much dropped the pike because it was already incredibly difficult to use at close range. I'm sorry but if you're playing as a team... You're going to be fighting close range more often than you are fighting long range. They felt that it was too powerful close range... The hip fire spread is atrocious.

I think all they had to do with the pike is increase the recoil tremendously. It just feels like an lh1 but worse in almost every way. The two things that are going for this weapon are 3:41 the scope and the very generous blindfire imo.

Any new tech including upscale would be nice, aside from my thoughts on FSR in general, people without an Nvidia GPU would greatly benefit I'm sure. Still wish we could use FG with DLSS without a mod. But most games don't support that yet.

Man why the sword? It can be annoying, but is easily countered by heavy wench and especially light stun gun. It's not a terrible nerf, but I'd like as many weapons to stay comp viable as possible.

It was comp viable last season before the insane lunge distance buff it got at the beginning of S4. With today's nerf, it's still better than last season.

Dude I dunno, the sword is genuinely one of the most oppressive weapons in this game. I’ve been in so many lobbies where a sword user casually drops 15-30 kills a round. I mean mediums legit have 0 ways to counter it. You can throw a glitch trap down and hope it buys you enough time to live an extra 2 seconds, but you get a built-in dash with the sword anyway so glitch trap does nothing with that. You say you can easily counter sword with winch claw, which I don’t agree with because they can either dash away as soon as the animation is done or they can just finish you off easily if you’re low. Also regardless, most people don’t even use winch claw this season and you can’t even change specialisations mid-game in WT anyway so if you chose charge and there happens to be a sword player, you have no opportunity to counter it now. The only good counter to swords is the stun gun. But yeah I don’t know man, they just keep nerfing everything and it’s a little lame. I genuinely do like when fps games have longer ttk, but most of the weapons right now are simply not viable and it’s let to a seriously gross shotgun meta that I’m not enjoying.

@@Zlittlepenguin It can require set up sometimes, but it isn't usually that hard. If you're think hammer then yeah, but the shotgun works pretty well against em. I do agree with the medium statement though.

@@colinmcmasters5819 Comp viable, only in preset teams of specialists. I can use sword pretty well, but you can get outplayed easily in ranked. That and if you're solo queue, you get insulted by your teammates if you aren't that top frag sword player. Could just be me, but that's how I viewed it.

Most importantly is the fact that medium is a support class, which means you shouldnt be more than 10-20 meters away from your heavy at all times. There is a zero percent chance of a sword light taking away 600 health from you and your heavy before the sword gets deleted, unless that sword player is god tier and the medium and heavy are absolute dogshit.

@@WoggleEnthusiast I don’t know. I feel like the sword is pretty oppressive personally, but it’s mostly due to the dash specialisation. On the other hand, I am pretty disappointed with the state of the other melee weapons right now. Particularly the dual blades and the spear (although at least with the spear it’s possible to do good with it depending on the lobby). It is a little frustrating though when everybody’s complaining about things that are only good because they keep nerfing things. Like I’m of the opinion that the cl-40 was perfectly balanced when they buffed it but the entire community hated it so they nerfed it and now it’s irrelevant again. 🤷🏼 awe well… too many nerfs going on I think…
