I used this video as inspiration on my way to my dream college. Such an amazing story. He may have died 2 months ago but that legend will live on. I am fueled to FINISH all the time after this. Don't worry about how long you'll live, just make your time good when you can.

the NY football Giants used this video as an inspiration to win the Super Bowl. Thier motto was "Finish".... based on this video. Truly inspirational.

This story served as an inspiration for me when I was recovering from near death due to pneumonia and ARDS. 8-months later, I ran a 10-miler.

amazing story. A youtube video has never made me cry before, but while watching this, I was crying my eyes out. I don't know anyone in this video, but ALS is a terrible disease, and my aunt just died from it a month ago. Its terrible that it effects the most honorable people. Great team, great coach!

I would love to how just exactly how 4 people did not like this story? This is one of the most inspirational videos I have seen on many levels. The coach's plight with ALS and the runner's couage to finish the race......

just read an article about this team/coach in runners world magazine's january 2012 issue...amazing team - hard-working girls inspired and trained by a coach who loves running, loves his life and his job, and doesn't give up.

Most depressing part of cross country is witnessing your teammate fall short from the finish line. And to have to crawl there. Cause you can't help them... :/

you run at a much faster pace on shorter distances and if you go to hard and don't get water you can get dehydrated.

well obviously you don't know what it's like to finish giving it everything you had. If you've never run a race where you had to collapse at the end, you have never really pushed yourself

ktmluva7 It’s not the fact that she was dehydrated because she looked all fit and healthy even though it’s unknown, what I think happened was is that her body was so tired to the point were she went passed her pain threshold. The good news is that she never gave up.
