Then why is it no longer blue when we go up high? Even when the sun is present, if we go up very high in the atmosphere, the sky appears black (as in, the black of space). The blue we see in the sky is because of the way the sunlight is filtered by the atmosphere.

@@mysecretplace352 The sun and moon cannot be local. If they were, they would constantly appear to change radial size as they move closer and farther away. The sun and moon stay the same radial size all day, every day. If the sun and moon were local, we would see them move in a giant circle in the sky. Here in the US we would see the sun rise somewhere far to the northeast over Nova Scotia, arc down over Central America around noon, and then arc back up to the northwest to set somewhere over Alaska. None of that happens. If the sun was local, we could never have an actual sunset like we see every day. A 3000 mile high sun could never light up the bottom of the clouds that are 9 or 10 miles high at the most and create a brilliant sunset. Flat Earth fail!

Yes it is. It is not just air up there. Earths air is special and must be contained. There are waters above us. It is held out of earth by the “glass” ceiling. If you take a rocket and let it go, eventually it will dig off of something and come to a complete stop... spinning to a halt. I watched several videos of Rockets hitting the firmament and they all bounced off it.. it resembles a boat going through the water. It is beautiful. Without this we wouldn’t survive. We are encased in huge walls of ice all the way around the earth. It is flat.. but circular. Think spongebob at sandys house. Sandys house is the earth.. totally surrounded by water and protected by glass. Did you know that Antarctica is the most heavily guarded place in the world? To go, you need special permission from the President , and you just pay a non refundable fee of 1 million dollars and arrange your own flights in and out. Even after all that, when you land in Antarctica you can still be shot without warning. They do not want us to know about the ice walls.. that would put holes all in their global warming theory.

Cool. So. What is the firmament, yes yes it's 'heaven' although that's an Anglo-Saxon term originating in a pagan origin, so that's... weird if you think about it. Many many things in the Bible are objects that serve as an allegory. Waters above, waters below. Water is a feminine icon or symbol usually, is it... perhaps the waters within the womb and the waters outside of the womb, aka the blood of the mother? I'm just... preoccupied because I really believe there is so much more to this than the 'face-value' or 'denotative' aspect of what you are saying. An honest question... is the Bible actually saying that the firmament is more than just the barrier between our atmosphere and space? The firmament is space itself? Since the "Sun, Moon, and the stars" are "inserted into" it; it seems very logical that space, outside our globe, is the firmament. The waters above vs. the waters below... waters below = Earth. Waters above = water in Heaven. Heaven must be in space, in another dimension. A higher plain of existence? So, we are separated from heaven by space + dimension? Also I'd like to point out that primitive man did not understand "sky science." The sky is the vault opening that separates the waters on the ground and the water dome above. We can see that the water dome is blue because that’s the color of water when it pools. It looks like a swimming pool color. God placed the sun and moon in the sky (aka: the vault), not millions of miles away in the fake outer space. Genesis 1:6-8 - “And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. How can there be a Day without a "sun" ? Were the first days of creation literal 24 hour periods of time? Did the Son become obedient to the Father, when the Father said, " Let their be light"? And the Son became the Light? While He was on earth, He said that He was the light of the world! So, from the beginning of chapter 1, god made the earth and it was formless and empty supposedly resting inside a blob of water. Water is mentioned but notice how it never says god made the water though. Then, god created a firmament that separated the water from above and below. After that, god made the water below the firmament gather to one place and all of a sudden the formless earth appeared. Earth in the bible does not refer to a planet. Genesis 1:10 clearly says that earth is what the dry land is called. Firmament means heaven (aka sky), waters below are the sea and waters above the firmament apparently refer to some giant ocean of water above the atmosphere (which we know now does not exist).

I didn't See, "A Sea of Glass"! There was Nothing there! Air and Blue Skies! It was A surface up On the Clouds! Or, just Like A Cloud! But it was firm to stand on. A "Firmament Above" US! Well, the earth is a plane it has mountains and valleys, but it's not a ball. Easily proven if you think about it for but a moment. if you have a plane then it's very obvious because places that are supposedly close on the ball earth are actually very very very far away. Like for instance if you look at the size of Australia vrs the USA. the length of Australia is actually twice that of the US if you don't believe just look up the flight and check departure time and arrival times and even the cost is double.
