Yes, you're absolutely right, the lighting is way different in season 2. I feel like there's harsher light in this season compared to the other season which was mostly shot in mellow light. When Sara entered the house, it was almost unrecognisable since in the previous season, all the scenes in their house had pleasant lighting. I've never seen Wilhelm or the queen wearing white in season 1, I had to squint a little to get my eyes acquainted to the brightness. It's as if the characters are leaving their dreamy state behind and waking up to the harsh realities of life :)

Seeing as Linda already knew who Markus was, I'm guessing he already met Simon at some point and that there's nothing there since we have no other reason to be believe there is at this point. Simon is singing a song in the background which apparently has a 'break up' vibe...I think Simon still obviously loves Wille and they did say in the synopsis that 'he's ready to move on and focusing on himself' (but will most probably fail once him and Wille are at school again). 'Focusing on himself' gives me the feeling that he's not interested in thinking of starting something with someone else. He's focused on himself - his fitness (going to the gym), his singing (we hear him sing at the end of the teaser) and his education (the picture of him focused on reading the book while Wille stares at him). The synopsis says 'but will his path be diverted now that Wilhelm is back in the fold?' - nothing along the lines of any hint of another person in the mix. Knowing how these descriptors usually go, they would have mentioned/teased something if that was the case, I think (yes it would be a major spoiler, but they don't usually shy away from using it as a scare-tactic). Maybe there was something happening during Winter break, but again, it seems so far-fetched that Simon would move onto someone else so soon (if we are starting off directly after the Christmas holidays)... The pictures of the hug, them sitting next to each other in class, and simon having his hand around wille in the gym give me zero LT vibes and that's what I'm trying to focus on until November (or until we get more speculating-worthy content). So, we're all just probably over-analysing because we're so afraid of a possible LT, or I'm being delusional and living in denial to cope 😅

I do try and think of the positive scenarios we got actual pictures of, but the thought of a possible unnecessary LT will always haunt me at the back of my mind until November. It's the lack of evidence (for now) is what's helping me breathe a little more peacefully 🙏🏻

I still say that it was critically significant that when Wilhelm said to Simon that he loved him at the end of the last season, that Simon didn’t say ‘I love you’ back. That was an intentional part of the scene and for me is an omen that is yet to come in this 2nd season. I think it’s possible that Simon’s love for Wilhelm has gone cold and Simon will find another partner which will shatter Wilhelm’s life. You can see in the few glimpses that they’ve shown recently that Wilhelm’s face looks very sour indeed, but Simon and August look relatively happy, particularly August I have to say. I may be wrong, but we’ll just have to see. I hope I will not be in the situation soon when I will be in a position to say ‘I told you so’!

@@showmoke hahaha, I hope not either 😛. According to Lisa, just because Simon didn't say it back, didn't mean he didn't love him. He does, but it just wouldn't have changed anything in their situation at that particular time. Simon showed his love through his actions all of season 1. Yeah, I get where you're coming from with Simon 'seemingly' happier in season 2, but that may be because he's 'trying' to move on, focus on himself. But I still try to believe that it's way to soon for Simon to be open to another relationship - at least not a serious one. Maybe he thinks about it, but realises he can never stop loving Wille. I know it's naiive to think about this regarding teenage love but 🤷🏻‍♀. I didn't particularly see Simon happy in any photos we got - we only see him smile in the one where he actually has his hand around Wille (so that can say something). I honestly just hope they don't make it seem as if Simon is over all that happened and is not affecting him mentally/emotionally anymore as if it's something you can brush off over a few weeks. I know they paint Simon to be such a strong character, but he's still a 16 year old boy at the end of the day. But you're right, anything can happen, we just gotta wait it out a little longer 🤞🏻

@@XxXmIcH3lleXxX Yeah, I am putting myself in Simon's shoes, someone like him, cannot easily forget his romantic connection to someone and jump onto someone else. There can only be two options: 1- Markus will be a warm friend to Simon and then some romantic feelings will be involved making Simon feel safe and loved 2- Simon makes mistakes to forget about Wilhelm and get involved with Markus (if Markus is Simon's love interest though. He can still be love interest for Sara/Felice or nobody's love interest at all, just an important character for the storyline)

I kinda hope that Wille's dad has a bigger role in this season and that he becomes the support that our boy needs. He seems much more laid back and caring than the queen, it's just that he's been in the background until now, but perhaps his son's multiple heartbreak will be enough to make him more active and protect him? 🤔

I always appreciate your comments. I agree with you that I don’t think the storyline needs a love triangle. I really hope we don’t see one. I think Wille & Simon already have so many obstacles to overcome (which I think they will), but they really don’t need more. I think we were all surprised to get the first four minutes instead of a more traditional teaser/trailer. I was thinking about the fact that the first four minutes of S2 will only make sense to fans who have already seen S1. I was thinking/hoping they would release something else and do some promotion to entice new viewers, because they will need that for a S3 renewal - esp. since they weren’t part of Tudum either. Omar pretty much confirmed to fans in Barcelona today that there will be something else coming in terms of a teaser/trailer. I can’t wait to see it. Hopefully we’ll get a glance at Simon and Felice in it.

I went back and looked at S1E6, and there's a vertical picture in it (it's black, but it looks like it might have been shrouded), which is much more narrow and further up from the bed than the red picture. It hasn't been all that long, so that's definitely interesting.
