Heated grips (a little sleet came down today...still rode the bike!), bark busters, wider foot peg clamp-ons, wind screen extension to clean up the air, and some handlebar risers. Oh, and grip stickers to go on the tank to stop body sliding around on bike under hard braking. So far all mods have made for a better riding experience.

Number 5 is bob on. I work in the motor trade and have this discussion regularly. Usually solved by this: Your tyres make up 100% of the grip contact area with the road. If they lose grip, you will become a passenger flying first class to the scene of the accident. No amount of braking or steering will affect that. Cheap tyres vs quality tyres can be the difference between having a butt puckering moment through a puddle and coming out alive, or skidding right off the road.

i'm on a cb125f (2021) and absolutely. after pre-warning the local shop what exact size my tires are, and getting some gucci mich's on, it made a world of difference compared to whatever crap came stock. premium tyres-first thing ANY biker should do to ANY bike.

Good advice. I spent 50% of the new bike price on upgraded parts. Guess what, I got no extra for the bike when I sold it. But, and it's a big butt, I learned a shit load about brakes, suspension, engine performance and other stuff in the process and had a bucket load of fun. The list: Up graded brakes 2 pot to 6 pot calipers, Race Tech front suspension, Ohlin rear shock, seat upgrade, full exhaust added dynamic tested 10 HP, and cosmetic products. Handlebars, mirrors, Midgard extenders, cosmetic tidy up items. But not again.

I've spent a bit on retro-fitting and restoring to stock on lots of things from bikes to cars... Nothing against after-market. I think the fixation on stock is over-rated, personally... BUT on a Suzuki, about requires something aftermarket exhaust just to run smoothly... There's a few things I know I'll be doing anyway... BUT I pop into these vid's just to hear and see the things most often recommended AGAINST... either for being over-sold or outright destructive or dangerous... It never hurts to get another perspective, even a "wise-ass" perspective. ;o)

I would add a Thunderbox from Healtech- This will shut any devices off when you shut off the motorcycle without becoming an amateur electrician on wires that don't tolerate amateurs or connecting up electronics by splicing into wires controlled by your computer which will figure out they are there and not like it. It will also supply enough power for your $1500 pocket super computer as well as several other devices. Also run SAE connectors and not whatever garbage comes with whatever device you plan to hook up.

Most. Most mods decrease value. Adventure bikes don't lose value when they have aftermarket crash bars and pannier racks when they don't come from the factory with them. Also maintenance mods generally may add a little value, some models have mechanically inferior parts that that model's community will have a well known fix for. If it's a lot of work, that will be a nice to have if a previous owner has done it especially if professionally installed. They may not add value, but they don't decrease value.

I have to disagree about the windscreen. At least for a cruiser motorcycle. A good windscreen can make your riding experience so much more enjoyable, especially if you ride in a cool climate. Also, if you’re riding long distances, it can save a real beating on your chest by blocking a majority of the wind.

Especially if you have a new motorcycle my opinion full exhaust if you have the money, they got o2 sensors on them now and the computer can update itself a good bit. If the bike don’t have o2 sensors well it may cost more then the exhaust just to tune it if u want it to run great depending on the year u have.

First thing I did to my bike was actually get vortex 3.0 adjustable levers because the stock ones didn’t fit right for me lol. After that I got a slip on leo Vince LV10 and a tail tidy. Oh and a gear indicator cuz I’m terrible at keeping track of the gear I’m in lmfao. Still have all the stock parts though just in case

If a louder exhaust is a "must have" mod then what will we do when we are all forced onto electric motorcycles? Have loud ICE soundtracks routed to our earphones in the helmet?

I disagree with dont do power mods. Here in Australia we only got the cbr650r in restricted form. We have to mod the bike to unlock all the 95hp, using the same mods considered power adder mods.
