Thx Vic for the great video - I was waiting for that cage-review! How is your experience with overheating (especially 4k 60)? Do you have problems and how does the cage have an influence on heat dissipation?

I need this cage. Telephoto lenses are difficult with a tiny grip. I strapped on an LCD eye cup, and use the ZVE1 with Sigma 100-400 in 4K 120. I should get the A7S3, but this has animal eye detect in video.

Awesome overview! I was so hyped when they announced this cage. I ordered it in anticipation of picking up the ZV-E1 in a few weeks! Do you know if you can still use a B1M with this cage on? Really hoping the hot shoe mount has enough clearance around it.

Hey vic, iv been a susbcriber of yours since the original zv1. iv just upgraded to zve1! i bought the rig cage as well. I noticed there are a few different versions of the handle on the side from same company nato etc.. what difference it does not explain very well on amazon.

What about if you have small hands? Several video reviews have mentioned that the zv-e1 grip seems small and not good. It feels great in my small hands. I haven't watched the full video yet but I am going to. Maybe this will change.

@@VicBarry since my lighting situation is REALLY bad even with a godox SL60, I added two lights from apature and some improvised cable management for 3 usbC cables and the cable for my Rode video mic. I prefer shotgun mics over lavalier 👍🏻
@VicBarry Жыл бұрын
Awesome stuff. Why is the lighting situation really bad?
@manohasmodernlife Жыл бұрын
@@VicBarry mostly because I record in our dining room and natural light comes from an awkward angle so I have to shut everything for a more controlled lighting Szenario. And the table makes it difficult to place the godox at the optimal position. But it got WAY better with the godox which I bought two weeks ago. I use the small camera lights just for some background separation now. The godox handles the rest now and gets rid of the shadows behind me 😅

I want to change my a6500 for the ZV-E1, the main concern is about the heat.... Where I live, its constantly on 86ºF on day and 76ºF on night.... This camera its able to record 30mins+ of 4k30p on sun? And at least 15min of 4k60p? >.

Does the cage have any impact/improvement when it comes to heat dissipation? - it should in theory, as you're basically strapping a heatsync to the camera.
