I am seriously enjoying this channel. I've watched damn near all of these origin videos since yesterday. Finishing up now, then I'll move on to whatever's next. Thanks for all the great videos, MARvelite.

@Mr. M5 Haha Yeah. Maybe you should just take a break for a day or so, then come back and watch the rest.

Those are most definitely retcons. Why even try to hide that? They are retcons some are good and some are bad. We can argue till we are blue in the face on what is good or bad but a retcon is still a retcon. Thank you for the great video.

You forgot to mention his relationship with Storm.
@tonyibraham59313 жыл бұрын
Nope. This video is "first appearances and origin." His relationship with Storm wasn't part of either.

This origin was better than the movie.

I prefer the EMH version. That show is 616 Marvel refined to near perfection.

Batman would probably win, given that he’s a tactician and strategist who led the Justice League.

Nice Black Panther learned from Cosby to knock out Invisible Woman with a knock out roofie like gas lol i kid, i kid.

Do you think that the Panther would have served longer in prison than Cosby did?

Would like to see this done for the MCU, for an F.F movie if only MARVEL would recast. GREAT VIDEO.

That story from FF Unlimited #1 had some real dopey plotting and characterizations so I had to look up who wrote it and of course it was a past-his-prime Roy Thomas. I find it interesting that Marvel was so savvy about bringing in young, new artists in the late 80s/early 90s, yet we're so hesitant to do the same with their writing and editorial staff, insisting on holding onto many guys who were out of touch with modern readers.

6:25. The Reaper’s first appearance was in Avengers #52 (Which I have in storage somewhere.). I think that you meant Avengers #51.

Klaw is the man. The man with the hand. He should be MORE of an FF villain! He used to be a fairly big one for them, but that’s died out over the past two decades.

Also doesn't help with what the MCU did to Klaw either.

"Chieftain" is a eurocentric insult; as if only Europeans can be legitimate kings?

Thank you for pointing this out. I do attempt to update my terminology in newer videos to be more accurate and appropriate. A lot of those 60s comics are pretty dated in their use of language. I do think that Stan and Jack generally had their hearts in the right place with their attempts to create positive black representation, but their efforts were couched in the sensibilities of the time.

Yeah, I’m sad to say that Kirby’s dialogue is just PAINFUL! Stilted and strange.
