How is it going? I got my piano a week ago and To Zanarkand was the song I aimed aswell, made it to 30seconds in 2-3days, but couldnt handle the next 10 (the 30-40sec mark). Moved now forward to learn easier things (bs. Im trying to learn River Flows in You which seems fked on the same level XD, if I won't make it I'll really step to easier things first ;D)

Moonlight Sonata (first movement) was the first piece I started learning, about 4 months ago. I was doing that for about 3 weeks. I've learnt the first 40ish seconds. Then moved onto Minuet in G which I've pretty much got down. My family are sick of hearing it by now 😅 Going to carry on with Moonlight Sonata and probably Time by Hans Zimmer which I started learning last week. It's probably too much for me at the moment but I'm gonna try anyway.

Constructive criticism: At 9:13 when you changed pieces, you got me really confused. The change from one piece to another was so sudden that i started wondering why were you playing fur elise while explaining bach... Until i noticed you had changed pieces... I know the video is over a year old but just a reminder shouldn't hurt. Great selection nevertheless. Any suggestions of easy starting songs besides twinkle twinkle and similar?

@GabrielRibeiro-nm5uv 8 жыл бұрын
Not sure if serious or trolling; Hungarian rhapsodie no.2 is one of the most difficult pieces by Lizst and Lizst is the most difficult composer among the widely known composers, you might study 10 year and still be uneable to play it. BTW Canon in D you might be able to learn after only 6 to 12 months depending on how much you study.

Question: My book that I use to learn piano (the John Schaum course) uses some finger numbers on the practice pieces, and I was wondering if it's a bad practice, when learning a new piece, to mark my own queues for moving hand positions in the form of an occasional finger number in places where the hand position is moved/extended finger position is used?

Techniquely, yes bach c major prelude is easy. But MUSICALLY it's much harder to play than you think. There is always a certain sincerity that comes along with bach. Phrasing is key and evenness of playing is important as a pianist. Therefore practice all day everyday and you'll get there eventually!

Just got a keyboard and I love playing but I am not so good at multitasking with my hands just yet. Are there any beginner tip videos or songs that are easy for beginners?

I'm actually looking for the name of a song I'm aware a lot of people learn but had alternative endings. It starts "E# D# F# Bb-Gb(played together and twice)" this is repeated and the left hand goes down to D# and C#.. if anyone recognizes this and knows the name please comment and let me know(: thanks

Do you think I'll be able to play difficult classical songs soon? I learned Canon in D (Easy Version) with left hand in 4 days so what should I play next that will be a bit more challenging?

Liebestraum - Franz Listz. Just take it slow if it's too much especially somewhere near the middle Edit: Actually, it *is* a bit too much in the middle but you'll be fine

Do you have any recommendations for someone who is legally blind. I do not have the ability to be able to read sheet music however I still have enough site to see my iPad I have been playing for a year and I have the white PG 235. I am hoping for my birthday soon I will be getting the DGX 660 and would like any advice that you can get. I am currently practicing scales cords and I have a multitude of songs that I can play for example dream is one of my personal favorites. I would really appreciate any advice you can offer

Fur Elise is definitely not a beginner song. I recommend Transcendental Etudes, like Mazeppa, and Etudes from Chopin are easiest, especially his Etude Op 25 No 11
