Excellent lesson. I for one don't think rests are easy. In fact, they almost make me cry from feeling of not being able to not play them. This is helpful.

4 mins 30 in and you've already taught me more than any music teacher in 15 years. 16 x 16th notes in a bar (of 4/4 music) and the Beaming of notes is so obvious in hindsight! Subscribed!

Merci Tim, since I am making progress. I went back to my Method Level One books for the fourth time, and really worked on basics and musicality. And I am playing through those simple pieces, but playing them with confidence. i'm ready to move on to Level 2 books again, but this time with a better sense of rhythm. You had a great teacher, and have become a great teacher.

Hi Tim, I have follow you for a few years now, I have learn so much from you. I have a question: Do you have a class on playing a lead sheet with a left hand arpeggio with the right hand melody? Its so hard to keep the rhythm with a 4/4 time signature with different left hand patterns.
