his C1 explained: you don't need to have him within the 50%-60% hp range, because he gets his special charged attack when you use 5 NA after using his skill (which is the full combo). the charged attack also deals more dmg, and his skill lasts longer

His C1 makes it so when you either fall to 60% HP or land his 5th attack from his 5 hit combo, You'll get a rebuke fist and it'll heal you. (A boosted charged attack) If that wasn't enough, his rebuke fist does 200% instead of 50% extra damage. And it makes his skill last longer when you land a rebuke fist up to 4 extra seconds. (He basically doesn't need a healer anymore)

C0 is more like the traditional boxer where sometimes you’re able to get that nice uppercut. C1 makes it easier to get and do so it’s a nice QOL improvement but c0 is still great

8:30 His problem is you can't stay above 50% with him alone since at C0 he loose too much health and his passive doesn't restore enough, so after rotation or two you stay constantly below 50%. However, when you bring a good healer like Kokomi you end up with an opposite problem when you can't trigger his passive at all and loose damage bonus from it. It looks like at C0 he's designed to be played with a healer which do a single burst of heal, so you can actually lower his HP below 60% during his time on the field. This is not important with his C1 since he can fully heal with it and deal more damage on top of that, but at C0 that's something you have to take into consideration. So, in this team you may want to replace Kokomi with someone else and only use Barbara's burst for healing. Mona, perhaps? I think he'll appreciate damage bonus from her bubble and on frozen enemies it stays for a lot longer.

I also made a Catalyst Only account a while ago cuz I thought it's fun and only had Wanderer + a few basic 4-stars. I was at 46 pity with 70 saved wishes (all primos gotten from f2p events and etc), I made 3 ten pulls - nothing, I did another 10 pull and somehow managed to win my 50/50 for Wrio, managing to snatch a second one just 2 wishes later in the same pull:') I don't know who made me do it but I also did 2 wishes on the weapon banner and also got his weapon 🥲 The Neuvillette "incident" that happened on my main all over again lmao

So for Wriothesly C1, it basically makes it so he is full sustain in HP + charged attack better. Put it simply when he is below 60% HP he gets this red aura that makes it so his next charge attack will heal him. Add in the Skill and it dose great damage. With the Constillation it makes it so this red aura has a lot smaller cooldown for when it can happen if your using his skill. I think that’s the gist. Basically instead of doing NA5>NA5>Charged with likely needed healer, you can just keep doing NA5>Charged without potentially using healer.

Two things about Wriothesley. 1. Flowing purity is not that good on him, the current event catalyst is probably his BiS F2P weapon especially at R5. 2. A common misconception is that he needs to be between 50%-60% HP. This is not true. He gets his enhanced charged attack when he drops below 60% and he doesnt lose it if he is healed back up.

Okay! I'll just share what I learned so far as a Wriothesley enjoyer! :D His C1 is very good, but it isn't nearly as important as it was made out to be. It makes him easier to use and do bigger damage. For starters: Wriothesley doesn't need to stay between 50-60% HP for long periods of time on C0 to trigger his passive, but using it reliably will be more difficult. The reason why you'd want him below 60% is because then he gains a buff (Gracious Rebuke) which lets him do more damage on his charged attack, doesn't consume stamina, and heals him. But the thing is, that the description says that he GAINS it below 60% -but it doesn't say it that he loses it above 60%. And he does not, even if he's healed back to maximum after gaining it. If you can get down below 60% every 5 or so seconds, his passive works perfectly. The problem is just that most healers overcap this, and it can be difficult to get him that low. Running him without a healer, however, runs the risk of him dipping below 50% HP, where he loses his normal attack buffs. Reliably triggering it is a little difficult with out current characters (especially on spells only), we'll see how that changes with the release of Furina and a certain melusine nurse that sticks around Wriothesley a lot. This is what C1 eliminates - C1 essentially makes him easier to play and do bigger damage. Here's what C1 does: Wriothesley is now able to gain a gracious Rebuke every 2.5 seconds regardless of his HP so long he's under the effect of his elemental skill, and he'll be able to use the buff with his 5th normal attack - so no need for a charged attack. Additionally, the damage of this attack is buffed by a large amount. I believe it also extends the duration of the skill. In summary: C0: Requires you to pay close attention to his HP and do a charged attack whenever you see his buff active. Requires a more thought out setup to enable triggering the passive. (Or you can treat it as an emergency heal paired with a follow-up attack, and just play him normally and only use it when he starts getting low on HP.) C1: Press E and just keep clicking. Don't worry about anything else. Do more damage, keep skill up for longer.
