I went to the Cincinnati Oktoberfest once in 1983 when I was at college in Springfield, Ohio. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

I miss real oktoberfest. Colorado has some good ones like Vail and Breckenridge. Hopefully, the weather is good for me to check our Denver. But others here just haven't been as good.

Driving through central Munich last night. Quite a challenge not to hit any drunk folks going home from Oktoberfest. 😂 I’m among the many Munich residents who generally prefer the many smaller beer festivals all year round over the big crazy one. Cozier and without tourists. Auer Dult for the win. 😉 But I understand that people want to see it once in a lifetime. I‘m always genuinely impressed by foreign enthusiast. For example, I saw some people yesterday in shirts identifying them as members of some Texas Oktoberfest club. 🥰

We were there for 2 days this year (Wednesday and Thursday)and had a blast! Thursday was rainy but still had so much fun and met the nicest guys from Australia! We bought our authentic dirndl and lederhosen on our travels through Switzerland the days prior. Quite pricey but so worth it! Prost! 🍻

Pamplona has the "Running of the Bulls" and Munich has the "Running of the Germans." Of course at the end of the day, this is followed by "The staggering of the Plastered!" 😂🤣🥴

We have a small tent set up only a couple of bus stops from my house in Wädenswil (Zürich) and it’s been so fun in the past! Question, Feli - why do all the locals go crazy when they play John Denver’s Country Road?

I cannot abide by unruly crowds. No matter what the event or where it is taking place. Being polite and considerate is far more mature than knocking people down in order to get a table to drink your ass off. A person can be civil. A crowd turns into a mob. SMH.

Since people are running for good seats is it common/rare for people to get injured?

In Cincinnati outside a "Festival seating" concert by The Who in 1979, anumber of fans were crushed and killed when people heard music from within the venue and thought the concert was starting.
