My dad let me shoot a 12 gauge when I was 4 (it knocked me on my behind) I remember he laughed not when it knocked me down, but when he saw such a little kid holding a big gun up straight by himself XD. He was a gun-nut and hunted only small game. I use to win turkey shoots upstate NY when I was 6-7 shooting .22's. I grew up shooting .22's, pellet guns, shotguns, and a 30-06 (only a couple times before he sold it). I think expert gun safety is the best skill to have. I have a disgusting infatuation with guns now lol. Kudos to our dads for teaching us at a young age. I will be doing the same with my kids.
