Awesome video! Exploring the history of music is always super interesting. Though it is future funk, my favorite vapor album this year has to be barb walters' innocent ep. Love the dude's music

The best Louis La Roche EP ever, it was 2008 but sounded more retro!

Already did 1 and 2. 3. My favorite vaporwave album of 2020 is The Demise of Nanami by Nanonshrine. A real boppin', addictive sound that you just don't want to turn off, with the lovely throwback to the internet bliss around 2009-2011. Every time I even think about it or hear the name of it (or one of the tracks in it), I always go back and listen to it.

Heyya! Nice First Future Funk roots over here, Mr. Daydream! OMG! Tendencies x Supersex been one of my most valuable thing in a wishlist since 2015! This album is supercool! Unfortunately i missed to grab it in time so i dont own it yet on a tape... So glad it been issued on vinyl! Aaand what about my most faved album from 2020...it's quite alot of represses from previous years so i need to choose something freshy...hmmm...i do really likes freshiest Neo Gaia Fantasy collab by DDS.WMV, Equip, Vaperror and R23X guys by 100% Electronica alongside with the Vaperror's Saccharine Synergy i ordered as a double pack from this wonderful label of George Clanton ^^ Also liked Nobody Here's special audio album for the upcoming documental at My Pet Flamingo. Havnt listened yet newest Saint Pepsi's Manequins but i do bet this definately can be the best album of 2020 around vaporwave and futurefunk scene. For the futurefunk exactly i guess can definately be the Night Tempo's Funk to the Future. Since the very first release this artists still banging the scene :D

I'm new to the Vaperwave scene, so my favorites of 2020 weren't released this year. I've been researching so many. Right now, my favorite is Costanza's 'George' EPs. Lol I really love them.

1. Done 2. Done 3. Probably Goodbye Future Funk by Chance de la Soul! It’s one of the best future funk albums I’ve ever heard and it hasn’t even gotten as much attention as some of his other albums. Really hope it doesn’t continue to stay under the radar

Hmm... There were guys on the Ux4 (uuuu.org) forums who were making that same kind of house music well before Louis. Two names who spring to mind immediately are Patrick Alavi, and Hystereo. Know the history. ;-)
@funkerman74 жыл бұрын
Galactik Knights brothers, Thony Ritz too, my memory is hazy but hes not tge first, but he did bring a lot of people into that scene. God Valerie Collective was also around same time
@BarbWaltersMusic4 жыл бұрын
Patrick Alavi is just french house, he kept on making it well after the big labels died
@JaredtheRabbit3 жыл бұрын
Imo, Daft Punk’s 2001 album “Discovery”, despite being a French House record, is the true forefather of the future funk genre- especially the song “High Life”, which has the ingredients of a classic future funk song.
@funkerman74 жыл бұрын
Of course this guy decides not to include the fact that he leaked the song on limewire as tb - love which was a great idea but he knows how he comes across. Why he was definitely very influential, he is also a massive hypocrite and a straight up douchebag to smaller producers (as toppen)
@BarbWaltersMusic4 жыл бұрын
he was mega young when all that drama happened
@EddieG18884 жыл бұрын
@funkerman7, just curious about why he's a "straight up douchebag"? To be completely honest I've not heard anything negative so I genuinely am asking if you have re his treatment of other producers?
@funkerman74 жыл бұрын
@@EddieG1888 he slagged guys like Axel Le Baron for reusing a sample when he himseld at rhat point had already used Get Down sample that DJ Falcon used. Also a young producer called Toppen sent him a demo of Hey Princess which La Roche rejected only to release his own slightly altered version a bit later
@whatif42084 жыл бұрын
funkerman7 So your saltiness is over...(checks notes)...people using the same samples? Dude welcome to the Future Funk community. Louis is a legend.
