This is incredible. It makes me not want to purchase an amp. I just wish there was an amazing tutorial video for someone who is totally lost because they’ve never used this before and have no idea even where to begin with what is needed to be able to even use this or how to run it. Can it be used when video recording or playing along with music playing out of your computer speakers?

As usual, came for the amp and stayed for the riffs! That baritone demo is insane. Huge lush cleans, and plenty of tight distortion! I'll have to look at grabbing this one. Cheers Jon!

Hi dude ! Usually, I play on tube amps and I've never been convinced by virtual amps because they are not as dynamic and natural to play and not warmth sounding compared to tube amps (numeric vs analogic story in fact). But Kyle Bull (thrash and hardcore metal youtuber) is also a tube amp guy. He also tried this plugin and he thinks it sounds awesome too. To my ears it sounds great too and you convinced me to check it out ! Thanks a lot man and keep it up ! 👍

Not bad at all. I do like the 80-s sound you got with the clean channel and was surprised good it sounded with the baritone.

I dialed in your settings on my c+ and it sounded quite different, it sounded really good but not the same. As you said, pushing and pulling knobs can set the tone in many different ways. I haven't heard of any plug-in or simulator that could sound as good as the real c+. I just got a third one of these and its probably the best-sounding c+ I have ever had, full 100W of pure vintage goodness. Hope one day you can get to try it.

Not tried this one yet but the Amplitube IIC+ is really, really good and I barely see anyone talk about it! Will be interested to know if this competes
@wijons5222 жыл бұрын
Oh really,? Imust check that out then! Thank you for the tip! Is that one included in amplitube 5? In terms of feel amplitube falls flat on the higher frets in general I find. Compared to a real amp I mean. The latest version of amplitube fixes the dreadfull "It sounds like its covered by a blanket sound" , is fixed, I heard. Tonex also is enormous leap forward for IK multimedia. It's about time seeing Amplitube has buckets of official licensing. Tonex has not.....legal matters probably😅
@simonr3442 жыл бұрын
@@wijons522 It's in the "Mesa Boogie 2" pack :) The Mark V in there is great also. Works best if you use your own IRs (you can just disable the cab section and use a separate IR loader if you don't have the full version of Amplitube 5) They were made in collab with Mesa Boogie so it does feel pretty damn authentic. The only bug is the input gain feels low in comparison to the real amps (I've owned a Mark V) so you just need to give that a 6-10db boost to match it properly.

Great demo and great playing. Have you tried bypassing the cab and using a separate IR loader? It seemed like the levels coming from the plug-in with cab bypassed were very hot. Is that normal? What levels would you expect as input to an IR from York Audio or Ownhammer ?
@SonicDriveStudio2 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried that yet but that's how I would use it normally. The master volume control is just a basic volume control so just lower the volume until the levels are good.
@shanerabey16422 жыл бұрын
@@SonicDriveStudio I see. I was wondering why they removed the output level control that’s on the other plugins. Thanks!

Hello Jon, I'd like to ask a little advice. I have 3 amps, one of which I will purchase. It's for home use only & all have an attenuator for low volumes but still allow for full on gain. In no order, they are the H&K Grandmeister 40 Deluxe, the H&K Black Spirit 200 combo, & the Boss Katana Artist 2. I enjoy a variety of tones, but my favourite is Alex Lifeson Signals era. I also love Fast Eddie Clarke from the original Motorhead & Steve Stevens. What would you go for? Or is there anything similar that you would recommend? Thank you Jon.

Not to start again the old discussion, but for me amp sims has a sound i dislike that i can't describe and almost every time i CAN'T recognize, specially in a mix. I don't know what it is... is not on the IR, because i use my tube amp with IR and that sound isn't there. I have made blind test and i fail to recognize the amp sim a lot! Yet when i use amp sims i feel that strange sound and cant stop hearing it. Is in distortion, i hear it on the begining of the video, but not in the cleans. What the heck is it?! Maybe is not something i hear but something i can't hear (?) Maybe the amp sims scoop some freq a lot (?)
@mandubien2 жыл бұрын
If you can’t tell which is which in a blind test, then I would say it’s some sort of a « hate » effect. It’s like you have to find something bad about it because you already have convinced yourself there will be something bad with it. As for a mix situation, people tend to forget that engineers are not looking for a natural sounding tone (which will be darker in real life), but for a tone that works in the mix, and if possible mix ready so there’s less work at the mixing stage.
@washaconte39562 жыл бұрын
@@mandubien that could be it. I play with amp sims a lot and sometimes i play my tube amp. I love the Emissary from Ignite amps. Yesterday i noticed something, when playing a chord with dist the notes were not clear. On the tube amp the notes were there, weird. This is not what i was talking about on the last comment. Maybe is my interface or something... Just in case, Im not a tube purist or something 🤣🤣 i just feel there is something missing, or there is something different, i dont feel this when using Revv pedals for example. Or lepou Powerball sim, that one is really close to the real one! Axe fx too! I dont know what the heck it is, because it isnt with all amp sims it seems... maybe it really is a hate effect
