Wanting to have kids is one of the most fundamental important human instincts, it's bizarre how many people in the comments are foaming at the mouth over the prospect of helping people.

👩‍⚕️👍 A remarkable medical research breakthrough offering hope to those women suffering from such conditions! But one should be careful about this kind of organ transplants being misused for commercial purposes. Also, long term health safety of the recipient of the transplant needs more research across wide number of cases. This being a new medical operation first of its kind - many people may find it strange and scary in religious ethical terms. They are of conservative mindsets. But, I suport futuristic innovations of human sciences and technologies which can be used for the collective good! Great Work! 🤰🤱

Someday this will help bring joy to so many women, and let them bring new life into the world. 😃 Thank you for all your efforts to advance medical care. Pioneering medical science is always difficult and slow, not least because of the drag-anchor of the backward-thinking elements of our society.

@@blueskythinking6674 by that line of thought nobody can ever say they're forward thinking. Go have a cup of tea and read a nice book or something, getting worked up online about something which could help others for very little reason isn't nice.

This one might be tricky. Any surgery that sterilize a woman is usualy highly controlled and not in the good way. Typically, if percieved as "young", you would had at least some kind of psychiatric screening just to be sure that you don't want any kid will never or already had "enough". Check your country's law's and get maybe some help to navigate them if you want to donate.

What about the health of the child? Pregnant women are harangued for every little thing they eat, drink, do, don't do ... yet here you are deliberately creating pregnancies that are dependent on the mother taking heavy duty drugs. That's before even considering the inevitable additional risks to a child gestated in a male body. Obviously it would be insane and deeply unethical to experiment on a child in that way. The lack of child-centredness throughout the fertility industry is deeply alarming. Also the 2010 Act is not called the 'Gender Equality Act' it's called the Equality Act. It's a very careful balancing of EVERYONE's rights, based on nine protected characteristics, of which 'Gender Reassignment' is just one. The EA absolutely does not say you have to treat a male with the protected characteristic of gender reassignment the same as you would treat a woman. Even if he's one of the tiny few with a gender recognition certificate. You've been had.

As this work develops, I look forward to see the long line of "prolife" men waiting to have uteruses implanted in their bodies so they can become hosts to the all of the abandoned "babies" currently being stored, er "housed" in the -80C freezers at fertility clinics around the US. Except that conservatives have already been clear that pregnancy is not a choice, even when there are significant health risks to the pregnant person. So where does that leave us?
