I ran into similar issues with the perrin AOS. I agree 100 that this should be one of the first if not the first mod. Its fun to go fast but its more fun for your car to perform at its best and live a longer time.

I did the Ian and maybe my model year was different but don’t need to relocate ext. also having a 2 piece process west charge pipe made things so easy as only had to take the upper half off and not fight with the turbo inlet. I’ll say the Cobb hoses look a little better but otherwise same for sure. Get the hose clamp pliers they’re a life saver

great video. i am still debating if i should just spend a few hundred bucks and let the local mechanic have this headache or myself. it doesn't seem overly difficult, just super time consuming. I am more pissed at Subaru for not having a better design in the first place so these wouldn't be needed. Having an aftermarket charge pipe like my Cobb one, the issue that you had wouldn't be a problem because the Cobb charge pipe goes into a silicone coupler that is attached to the top of the turbo. So that might save some time and headache.

You don’t need a tune for this one right ?
@austinfromtexas
@austinfromtexas Жыл бұрын
No sir. The reason the comp series needs a tune is because it is vented to atmosphere instead of recirculating back into the intake

Do u need a tune for this? I forget which one but I’ve seen people say for the iag street or completions series you need a tune?
@austinfromtexas
@austinfromtexas Жыл бұрын
Yes the COMP series needs a tune since it vents to atmosphere. The street series does not since it all routes back into the engine.
