Not with the 1100kv and 800kv castle motors it runs great. No real heat issues. I even ran it way over geared and was able to make quite a few passes before it hit the temp cutoff . I have the same esc with a tp motor in my dbxle tho and the tp motor does run hot. The xlx2 is very impressive so far tho 👌

@@V2Vids the water record? Yea this would be a.great contender. Gear it very conservatively with the 800kv like 25/35 or somthing you don't need a ton of power for that. And try some large smc 9700 mah graphene packs. Use good connectors as you will be using alot of constant power and the battery plugs could de solder if they get hot enough.

@@V2Vids yea I run the 800 kv with wfo mount and wfo 30/35 gearing with the smc 9700 mah 120c graphene 4s packs... Like he said go down to 25/35 gearing.... Check out my build in my channel and a sub would be insane ❗❗❗ love ya content v2!!!!!! 💪🏾 💯 💯 💯

Nice. I think that I have more than enough power with my max 5 with 1100kv 25/35 gearing. I'm going to put the xlx2 and 800kv combo on my Outcast 8s with 35/39 gearing.

I am getting this same combo but I am not sure if I need anything extra. I got the rpm esc case. What type of gearing should I pick up to run this good. WFO is on such a backorder or sold out on everything

@@chriswade3986 its an 8s model runs amazing. So much power. I went down to 30/30 gearing so I could drive it more without getting hot fast. I can run it all day now

More top end for sure. So far 88 mph at about 3/4 throttle on badlands. The 800kv would run a bit cooler but I wanted to see how fast I could go

I think that the 1100kv motor is more for like going very fast. At least I think. I prefer the lown end torque that the 800kv motor would offer for bashing. I'm going to put that system inside my O8S next week. Just waiting on the motor mount, xlx2 combo and gears.

Never heard of that Esc before looks mean. Definitely want to see that in action. I have the SMC packs as well just haven't had a chance to go bashing. Hope they live up to the clout haha.

Yea it just came out this week..im one of the first retail customers to grab one. This esc is 500 amp water proof and sensored. For comparison a max 5 is only 200 amp. Im pretty sure it will do over 100 mph, tommrow I will have some nice GPS video. Just put the connectors on it . She's ready!

Have you ever had any problems with binding of the gears ? Like when I put my output gear cover on its starts to bind up. If I back out the screws that hold that gear cover down it starts to roll smoothly again. Any idea ?

I have those SMC my man power on tap they are official I’m interested on how they compare to the Gens an also that gear ratio Temps stay cool I have that Green monster myself🔋⚙️🔥🔥🔥 combo
