I'm tginking the power difference over the castle is more because it is much higher kv on same voltage, probably why it ran hotter too. I would expect it wpuld be a lot more powerful running the same volts with that much higher kv. Would be interested to see the difference in power when running equivalent kv's

If you had to rank in terms of power potential out of the Lehner 3080, the old 5860 you had in there and the 2028 1100kv what order would you put them in and how big a difference between each. I'm thinking the 5860 should give me more power than the castles but wondering how far behind the Lehner it is and if it is too hard on the XLX due to being a 6 pole motor.

Question I have a sensored tp and it only works in reverse, going forward only cogs bad and won’t move but if I disconnect the sensor wire it works any idea what the issue is? My hobby shop can’t figure it out,thanks

Hey I know it’s a older video but I had to some back and ask to see if you can help, I’m running the same setup in my XRT works great, now I’m trying to setup a tp5080 sensored with a brand new XLX2 and its cutting out at about 15-20% throttle so I hooked the TP up to a different ESC and it worked no problem. I recalibrated it too many times to remember and the castle link shows no issues or changes. So I was wondering if you had any problems like that in the beginning or if you have any ideas? I’m pretty confident I don’t need to send it in to castle it’s brand new just opened it up yesterday I always have some problems with a new ESC but this is a first. It’s kind sad.

What kv is the 5080, what gearing also. Try turning your start power to low .it won't effect top speed. Might be going into overload if the kv is high enough .

@@RCKYOTA I don’t remember what was wrong I think the ESC had a bad bullet connector, I was using 8mm bullets for the negative and positive but castle bullets are not good enough so I took 8mm bullets out of some QS8 and it worked fine it was a weird problem but after a lot of trial and error I figured it all out, it all works pretty good now I’ve it 150mph with the setup just a few problems to work out and I think I can hit above 180 miles! Hopefully

Hey the diffs have held up great for me on the stock parts. No issues. The typhon uses the same parts as the 7th scale infraction platform so it is nice and strong. Your good to go with just upgrading the motor and esc . I'd do a servo also . I'm running an nsdrs 400 now

Would the only reason to change the pinion gear on the DBXLE-2.0 would be just to make it faster? If I'm happy with the speed it's at stock, will it be ok with that gear? Thanks for the great vid, well done. Also, what kind of speed bits do you use?

Yes, exaclty the gear change is only for speed. It will add 10-15 mph top speed just by changing the gear. It might feel a little slow out of the box. Losi gears it very conservative to keep runtimes longer and heat down. The stock gearing is fine if your happy with the speed.

@rodleonard1429 I would run 8s for this car . Most of us run 12s ar least. You will ge tuned to it quick. On 6s it's only going to go like 35 mph . Check out SMC 11300 4s packs . You need 2, or chnl 9500 4s. It's a big car so the larger the pack the longer your runtime. .

Depends on your car and what you want to to do with it. This was a bad ass setup, but really only good for speed runs or short speed bashing. It gets hot and the batteires get drained in minutes.

This wire also helps supply the full 20 amps (if you need it) that the BEC is capable of.. Don't get mislead.

18 is the max you can fit with the stock motor mount without drilling it out or putting a smaller spur gear on. 19 will be barely noticeably faster than 18T

If I have a Dbxle 2.0 and a 5ive T is there a reason to get the 5ive B? Or is the 5ive B that much better than the Dbxle?? What advantages or disadvantages?

In my opinion no. 5b really only shines at the race track. Dbxle 2.0 is a better basher and daily use rig . 5b is discontinued so getting some of the parts for it is very hard. Wing mounts and side pods are near non existent now

This just has some cheap surpass hobby fans on the outside . The motor itself has a mechanical fan built into the front section of the motor. As the motor spins the fan blade sucks air into the motor and blows it into the rotor. Not good for offriad but amazing for cooling .

That truck a beast man, I have a 1440 kv 5860, just trying to out can that XLX2 handle the amps from that motor. How is it working for you now?

Thanks bro. Ya xlx2 had no problem with the 5860. I think the amps were around 500-520. Esc ran great until I tried a lehnher 3080 motor. That was pulling 688 amps. 27 hp . It lasted for about a month before dieing . But yea 5860 is fine. Just keep an eye on motor and esc Temps and your good to go

It provids extra power to run more than one servo if needed or other accessories through the reciver. Its not needed in prob 90% of rc setups . Can not be used for Castle link or b link.

Wow that thing is fast with that 1721 1,260KV motor 88mph, i'm thinking about putting that same 1721 motor with either an MMX 8s or an XLX2 in my future Limitless V2 when i get it and just bashing it.
