When I was playing the demo one of the things that was really intriguing to me was how they handled building out your characters. One thing that I dislike in Rimworld is how static your traits are, but in this you are developing your characters as the game progresses, and that extends into future generations. Your first characters aren't going to be all that great with all their random traits, but your second generation will have more traits that you picked and they will start with better stats, which then will result in your third generation being even better. Personally, that gameplay loop is really appealing to me, the building of traits through generations and the removal of randomness to create powerful characters.

This reminds me a lot of Majesty but mixed with Magic the Gathering style level up system. I like it the concept a lot, this feels like a throwback to older God games where you didn't have a lot of direct control and just manage the progression of your kingdom rather than dictate everything for them. Super excited for this to come out.

I'm amazed the MTG color pie hasn't been used more extensively in other games. It's a very very good piece of game design, and probably one of the most interesting parts of the game.

@@StarContract Basically in MTG you have five different mana colours, which are linked to different kinds of environments, as well as emotions and concepts. White is light, order, plains. Black is death, selfishness, swamps. Red is chaos, passion, mountains. Blue is intellect, deceit, sea/islands. Green is balance, strength, forests. Overall it works really well because when you expand the concepts, you find that each one has two opposites and two neighbours, e.g. White is close to Blue and Green, but opposite to Black and Red. Then there is the whole thing of drawing and using the different mana colours available from each environment and concept. If you are interested, I suggest you look it up, personally I think it's really interesting.

This looks pretty cool but it also looks like you have to be on top of things and micromanagement is going to be on a whole new level. I can see some very cool strategies with how you build out the different characters and I bet some cool twists exist. Ya, definitely going on the wish list. Wow, I had this one forever in my Steam wishlist and almost forgot about it. Let's see how it is. So the way building works reminds of Knights and Merchants game which had similar X style building. Visually it feels a little difficult to read, but as with some cases watching and playing might feel different.

Sad, another knock off version of Rimworld. When first announced years ago, the game was proclaimed to be more 4x/RPG style game. Now the focus moved to copying Rimworld. thank you so much for Demonstrating the game, luv the content. Game removed from my wishlist today.
