I went into Crying in H Mart completely blind a few months back and I still haven’t recovered, it’s been on my mind constantly 🙃 Michelle Zauners interviews and music following reflect the book so beautifully

It's so weird. Crying in H Mart was absolutely heartbreaking but somehow I didn't shed a single tear. And I cry over books ALL THE TIME! What's the science behind it?! I don't understand man. Also, the clip of Albus playing fetch was so good for my soul.

Awhile ago I moved pretty far from my family to be with my husband/for a great job. Not an ocean's length, but pretty far. I don't regret it one bit, but man it busts my heart up to not see my momma and sister and our pup every day. Some days hit real hard. Your videos give me comfort, and maybe Crying in H-mart will give me some comfort and catharsis too.

i started with Kim Jiyoung born 1982, and oh boy, what a start! struggling a bit to read these days, but following up with Loveless by Alice Oseman (and or Circé by Madeline Miller and Sleepwalking by Meg Wollitzer). We lost 4 family members these past 2 summers, and i feel very attracted to books talking about grief, trying to deal with mine as i wasn't that close to these family members. Otherwise, give me a book with an unhinged female lead in her 20s, and i will devour it (Like me by Hayle Phelan or even My Year of Rest and Relaxation)

I'm honestly scared about 'Crying in H Mart'- I love it when an artist is able to make me feel their emotions, it creates a genuine feeling of connection to another soul that is very unique. However. I lost my father at a young age so the pain of losing a parent is very real to me. Better warn my mom before I start reading that she needs to be available for hugs :P
