(eye roll) if you are in a group...you are already together...you stand together. (immediate family and friends that are in contact the majority of the time anyway). The fact that you have a multitude of different friends with you, should be up to your discretion. If you hang out with the same people all the time, you are going to touch the same things and eventually touch your face, it's a given. ***** If you sit down to eat with the people you are with and you take off your mask then there is no point in having a mask or social distances with them the rest of the day.

So much nostalgia in this one. Growing up in Anaheim, Newport was our most-visited beach. My mom would take me to Ruby's and we'd sit on the end of the pier and share a bag of fries. I'm in Orlando now and my parents are a thousand miles away in St. Louis. I miss those days. Keep up the great work, Adam! Hope to spot you at Megacon or Disney again when this is all over.

This is a great spot indeed!! Very cool. Nearby the Huntington Pier has a Ruby’s at the end too and it has a real nice Tiki Lounge style upstairs now with Tiki style menu and the regular Ruby’s menu also. Great place for a Dole Whip!

Loving your Take out vlogs , I have always carried my own cutlery with me also small cotton cloth with some hand soap mixed in make cloth wet , then small hand towel to dry with , we really need to cut down on throw away plastic, I carry small thermal bag for the food to cut down on plastic bags , just takes little forward planning, At end of day restaurant need to buy all that plastic so if can eliminate then maybe can bring prices down 🥰🥰

I was at opening of RUBY'S Laguna Beach (80's). My mom worked for a Laguna Magazine taking photos. I always loved sitting in the old cars out front when you could reserve to eat in them :) This was such a great video of you both :)

Ah, Ruby's. It has been a while since I've eaten at one. They got rid of it up here in the SFV. My favorite one, though, is in Redondo Beach at Seaside Lagoon. You should do a vlog there sometime, Adam. It's sort of a water park, but it's free. It also has a boardwalk and marina close to there. Also to answer your two polls, 1) I sometimes call Orange County the "OC." I mean, they call the fair the OC Fair, so that means it's *fair* game! (Badum tss). 2) We call those kinds of potatoes, "country potatoes" or "country style."

Yes, home fries... If they had onions and green peppers in home fries, then Potato's O'Brien.. really good..and Not store canned, that is deli or fresh made Corn Beef Hash. and, fried on griddle..with, sunny side up eggs. Never been to that Ruby's before, but we've walked over there many many times. My folks, and I usually go to Charlie's Chili in New Port. Also I think those are called "Country Style Potatoes?" A nice waitress told me that they are called "Country Style Potatoes," when I was eating at Ruby's in San Juan Capistrano. I love eating at that Ruby's because the outside seating is very nice, and you get a nice view of the town.

It’s fun to hear “the 55.” We moved from Huntington Beach to Kansas, and they don’t say “the” before their freeway numbers. They just say the number and we still say “the” first and people usually comment. Also, I was born in Santa Ana and lived in Orange County for a lot of years(I’m 53 now), and no one ever said , “the O C”. I never heard it in a real life situation. Maybe because I’m too old?

Ruby’s Diner is going to be taking over the building that used to be Farrell’s Ice Cream in Downtown Brea. After you eat, you can walk a block North on Brea Blvd and walk or bike the Tracks at Brea trail. An old Pacific Electric Rail Line that the Nixon Family used to ride to Whittier. Frank Nixon, the father of Richard Nixon used to be the Trolley Motorman. There’s a trolley exhibit on the trail next to the Birch HillsGolf Course.

I lived on Balboa Island when I was very little (don't remember) then Costa Mesa (which I do remember) then Hawaii for a while, Balboa Island for a bit less than a year, then Costa Mesa later.... Newport ... I bin around. "The OC" sounds like something someone from Iowa would say.

I googled the weather of Orange County, said today was 71 in the morning time, 81* now which is a little hot but with low to no humidity, it sure beats Florida at a good 90* in my area. It says in OC it will be a 75 at 7pm and 71 at 8pm, man that sure sounds nice right now. Wow that's really amazing weather. I don't like the 81 but who cares, look at the mornings and evenings that sounds amazing. Yeah i'd really like that. I'm stuck in hot nasty humid yet still dusty dusty Florida. It's amazing because it's so humid here and moist yet when I work the dust still covers me when I mow grass or use a weed eater. That's change in July when we get all that loads of rain. My favorite month of summer is July, love the crazy rain we get here. Every other months during this time of the year id rather skip just like the snow birds, they have the right idea hehe.

I miss Newport Beach. I use to shop at the balboa shops for a bathing suit with friends a while back when I lived out that way. Jay’s Tikki necklace reminded me of the Brady Bunch Hawaii episode of Bobby’s necklace that brought bad luck to everyone who had it. Lol 😬 enjoyed this vlog! ❤️

Thanks for taking me to the 🏖 Beach. I Love walking on a pier. I saw a guy catch a small shark once on the pier at Deerfield Beach Pier by Boca Raton. Another time there giant Sea Turtle 🐢 was enjoying two fishermen’s bait. They a handful of bent hooks. Ehhh eh. Thnx! CJ
