The FIRST SEAT Ibiza Cupra! [Get Your Car Featured]

Hello guys, welcome back to Car Obsession, and welcome to the return of 'Get You Car Featured'. This time we have something rather rare - it's an example of the first EVER SEAT Ibiza Cupra. It's a car that may seem a little slow by today's standards as it left the factory with 'only' 156hp, but fear not, as the one you see here has been fettled a bit.
As well as extra power, it's had other modifications such as coilovers, race seat with modified steering wheel, strut braces, a new lick of paint, plus more!

I love these cars, I have a Cordoba Cupra myself (Ibiza Coupe for those who dont know what it is). Runnin around 230 HP now, 950 KG's, absolute rocket just like this lovely Ibiza 😍

Couple of my friends have had these running about same power with ko3s. Both had full interiors but because they were light they went pretty well

The mk2 Ibiza was the first Ibiza Cupra they did , was powered by a 2.0 N/A 16V 150bhp

The first Seat Ibiza 6k Cupra was from 1993 with the 2.0liter 16v 150 HP engine😅

That comment has already been made my friend. As said in the video, the first one wasn't called a Cupra, so in my eyes, this the first 'proper' Cupra. Ok, that may seem somewhat tenuous, but that's just the way I see it - thanks for watching 👍🏽

@@CarObsession the 2.0 16v was called cupra, it was the born of cupra word. Year 1996 started cupra.

@@CarObsession in the rest of Europe it was called Cupra. Just cupra, so, for the rest of Europe 2.0 16v was the first cupra. Seat is a Spanish brand, and for them, in their own museum, 2.0 16v is the first cupra at all. They make it to celebrate their first f2 rally championship in 1996.

This is not the first, the first ibiza cupra is the 2.0 16v N.A. Year 1996. Engine code ABF 150cv.

Hello Gonzalo, as much as I appreciate your comment (and for your viewership, of course) this comment has already been made a few times... Yes, I can see where you are coming from, but the first one went by a different name, so in my eyes it's not a 'proper' Cupra. Some will say that's a stupid way at looking at it, but that's simply my view and I stand by it.
