That's the dumbest move in the game, no resource break out of anything move that has no way to bait, no accountability. It's literally a mechanic that you see in kusogea

@@High2Lows a friend and I realized this, initially we actually figured out vanish safe combo and how to do minimal risk rolling hammer combo and possible mix from the front. But then realized the correct way is to just forget about combo and just practice super counter, if the opponent starts hitting you just super counter. If ur hitting the opponent, ur combo doesn't matter much since ur just hoping they don't super counter which is impossible since you can just mash it at a rate of 0.25 second and you get to attempt it like 4 times per string. Tell that to any fighting game player and ask what's the problem with that and ull see how stupid it is

High level play is unironically gonna be 15+min plus once ppl really get a hold of Z-counters.. this shit gets more boring as you get better. The high skill expression is about mundane timing minigames. You have an optimal backshot combo route that gonna do 472 bars? nah.. Z-counter.. you don't even get a bar

​@@Bebolife12345 Z counter cost a bit of ki. Super counter does not cost anything but is harder to do. A Z counter battle is usually won by the one who have more ki when the 2 player are decent. I wish you could do another Z counter that does not automatically hit so you don't get stuck on a loop and have a more interesting neutral.

great stuff, but yes the super counter is tricky to get down, but i say just use the electric from tekken idea, and def warm up 5-10 minutes in training with the computer on rush, and counter setting

I'm actually excited no so much for sparking zero but for whatever comes next. it'll be interesting to see if arena fighters evolve over time to respond to the competative nature of the community. 2D fighters weren't always designed to be competative, but maybe after seeing how far players take the game we'll start to see developers keep the competative nature in mind when making future arena fighters.

More than the vanish loops, i feel that Z Counter is waayy too strong as it is now. If it costed even just 1 skill point matches would go by much faster And you'd still be able to break out of combos at certain points with vanishes and revenge counters, so you wouldnt be helpless anyway
