Food creates memories and I absolutely love that you shared this. As an american, I've experienced this in other countries as well and it's amazing! I think the "grandma" prob recognized a newbie, and gave you what she thought you liked best. Us westerners, despite ethnicity, tend to betray ourselves in glaringly obvious ways lol.

thank you for sharing your story ben, it wasnt bogus, it was very wholesome to hear how much those around you cared and got you out of a bad place! the only thing i could think of to cause you to potentially fail the drug test is maybe being around someone smoking and the fumes from the smoke getting in your system? but i dont honestly know if that would effect a drug test

I like to think that maybe you failed that drug test because it wasn't the course you were meant to go down, you were meant to get sent there by your parents and the meal you got was one that you were meant to have to turn you on to the culture more and set your path to where you're at now. Yo ive been subscribed for at least a year or 2 at this point. I fuggin love your vids, but this one is my fav. Idk how old you are, but im 35 and had an extremely similar past as you with the military. I dropped out of college after 1 year, was fuckin up when i got back home. Decided to join the USCG. Scored well on the ASVAB. 2 weeks before basic training, i got a dui, which i too think was bogus due to an illegal stop, but i digress. Then i got into sales! Anyway, thanks for story time. I don't know about others but I want to see more Korean food. You live in Korea so you should highlight their food. We see American food in our own state, as well as other countries, nothing new. All we have to do is step outside and see exactly what you're eating. Korea has amazing foods we may never have the opportunity to eat so it'd be nice to have it showcased.
