So in todays video we are again visiting Gelleråsen race track in Sweden and it will be the first track of they year in my 2019 MX5 Miata ND2 30th Anniversary. It was a superfun day as usual and we had the weather gods with us.
For this track day I had a new alignment done and also I hade a fresh set of Yokomhama Advan A052 tires which are fantastic, the grip is really really good. However the alignment and tires to do not compensate enough for me sucking but hey.....

Greetings from Spain. May I suggest that after doing a few laps, check the tire pressures and adjust them so as not to overheat them and shorten their life. I'm sure you already knew that. Enjoy your MX5 very much.

thank you! For sure the pressures are monitored. With the MX5 it is not as bad but with heavier cars these tires do hit the window with regards to heat when not being monitored!

I am a sissy myself and track my car with the TC on, but I will have to bite the bullet and turn it off next time. I did not grow up with RWD and didn't do donuts and play with countersteer so I am on the same boat as you. I follow the dark gray track ND on IG, I didn't know you guys were both from Sweden lol. Nice video and nice car. I have been enjoying your channel a lot and used your fluid change video as reference to change my tranny fluid yesterday.

Thank you and glad you like the content. Just take your time with the pace and feel it through with the TC off. One good tip is to see/feel where the TC is kicking in and in those section with having the the TC off you can be a bit more gentle and gradually increase the pace. Yeah the grey one "kodo_mx5" is great a lot of stuff done to it.

The yokohama are better in comparison of the PS4S ?

I would say it depends on your use. For track use most definitely the A052s. They work well on the street as well however they wear quick compared to the PS4S and in wet conditions the PS4s will surely be quite a bit better. For being a track tire the A052s works pretty good in the rain, this is what I have been told but cannot confirm but for standing water etc I don't think they are that good I do not daily my car as such so I use the A052s as my only setup. I had the PS4S on my 2018 Mustang GT in 275/305/R20 and it was a really great sporty tire for the street
