Rackham's "it is not your pain to take," line got me really emotional because my family lost someone close last year (my aunt/godmother) and my uncle gets really emotional when talking about her and I wish I could help him smile more when talking about her than being on the verge of tears. It makes it hard to bring her up because I don't want him to feel that pain. I wish he had more of Rackham's wisdom in this game. He give me Richard Harris Dumbledore vibes.

30:00 I won't tell you WHAT happens, but the trick with the werewolf tapestries it to stand in front of each tapestry and cast Lumos. It won't work if you just leave lumos on, you need to cast it directly in front of each one. 45:00 Accio or WL the bones onto the spine posts.

As a Ravenclaw I would learn all Unforgivable Curses just to know them and never use them. Suggestion: set the spell sets according with the synergy of each spell. Incendio needs Accio, which synergises with Levioso and Expelliarmus; Glacius with Confringo and Diffindo, then Expulso. The latter set is the most useful towards those Guardians.

the dark arts battle arena only gives you unforgivable curses for the duration - you get a chance to unlock them later in the story. But you can unlock a cosmetic item if you beat all the waves.

I'll also add to this. The unforgivables don't count toward trophy completion. If you're dead-set against them, you don't have to acquire them for 100%. They are super OP in some situations though.

Definitely do the quests for the unforgivable curses - they're really interesting!! Plus it won't make you learn them if you don't want to, even if you do those quests. it gives you the option to choose not to learn them.

You could "Alice in Wonderland" your room of requirement, shrinking all the furniture at one end of the long room as small as it can go, and growing it at the other end as big as it can go, and transitioning the sizes between the two ends. I immediately went out and got the plans for the large 2-pot growing stations, because they can grow anything.

it's good to have a couple of 5-pot small ones, though, if you plan on using mandrakes a lot, so you can replenish your supply in one go.

A bit of a tip for those who might be watching this later and doing their first playthrough. Sometimes it is a good idea to save talent points since there is a hard level cap so you can only get so many skill points. Some are just good to pick like the extra spell wheels but others you don't need as you phase out spells in your arsenal. So you can forgo some of the early offensive spells and save what skill points you would use on those for some of the better skills for the ones that you most likely will default into like confingo and expelliarmus. And then pair up spells like glacius and confringo because confringo does extra damage. Also if you do want to go into the unforgivable curses having the skill points to increase their power when you unlock them is really nice. Also simular to what she is doing it is always a good idea to keep like spells in the same spot. Like keeping purple on the left, yellow on the right, and red on top and bottom.

I've had some close calls with rolling off high places and almost dying but the cool thing I discovered is that if you're fast enough and or the fall is long enough, you can totally pull your broom out and save yourself. hufflepuffians are so energentic i love it XD honestly the house sorting in hogi is actually surprisingly accurate which makes it feel like the community is there even though its not multiplayer, watching other houses first playthroughs to see the different choices, perspectives, behavoirs and mannerisms common in each house (if you didnt fudge to a specific house) ^.^ i would like more ravenclaws though bit late to be giving tips nowdays but if mon hun has taught me anything its that sometimes the little things can slip past us for most our lives, as such my hot tip (friendly suggestion) for anyone just starting out or who likes to just throw spells at things untill theres nothing to throw spells at , maybe experiment a little more with magic on things when you have the situation under control, when the game first came out i saw many who would say the same thing (accio doesnt work on the tougher gaurdians) well actually you might find it does under the right circumstances, studying your opponent and figuring things out through trial and error can open up an entire new world of fun you didnt know existed alongside hitting things untill they die ( not that it isnt fun) its just that hogi has a side of mastery to it much like mon hun, and i think the self improvement/ mastery aspect of these kind of games is the real driving force behind replayability and creativity

In case you haven't figured this out yet - glacius increases the damage from your next attack (if used immediately preceeding it), so you want to follow it up with a high damage spell, like diffindo, but preceed it with something that curses the enemy to take more damage (depending on your talents from the dark magic category, you can curse with: flippendo, expeliarmus, stupefy, or arresto momentum). Also, you want to follow up expeliarmus on the statues with ancient throw (r1), to chuck their own weapon at them for big damage.

1. ”expelliarmus” disarms enemies and you use their weapon as throwable by pressing R1, makes great damage, very useful 2. “Incendio” mostly used in close combats against spiders and zombies, not so useful against statues and boss fights 3. When enemies form those orbs you need to destroy them by using corresponding colour. 4. Wish you could unlock unforgivable curses, but it’s up to you Otherwise you doing great. Keep it up 👍🏻

A little "tip" for the daedalian keys: you can use Arresto momentum on the cabinet to slow them down and catch them almost instantly. But bare in mind that once in the keyhole you have to wait for the key to actually turn and open the cabinet (the spell last for several seconds), also there's a visual bug that gives you a Griffindor coin even if you're in another house. Try it and then decide if it's worth it or not, maybe it's more "entretaining" to catch them at full speed.

Hi! I've binged your whole playthrough so far and I love it!! If you haven't found out yet you can equip any hat for the extra defense and make it look like you're not wearing a hat. Equipping higher level gear in each slot will also increase the drop rate of even higher level gear from loot chests.

Also, if you check your collections, you can find the weaknesses of the various enemies. Like those "Protector" statues take extra damage right after you disarm them. So don't just hit disarm and run away, shoot them with your basic shots. I highly recommend getting the talent that lets you throw disarmed weapons with Ancient Magic toss.

There are a couple ways out of that cellar - drag the bones over to where it looks like a set of stairs should be and they'll form a set of stairs, or cast leviosa (not wingardiam leviosa) on the coffin lid and use it as a stepping stone to get to the top.

I cannot wait till you next instalment. This is exciting. You are so far the most consistent and well versed Harry Potter wise, of the players I'm watching with this. I also am a Potterhead, and your absolute love of the whole wizarding world and Potterverse makes it all the more meaningful in the watching. I grow frustrated sometimes watching some of the other who play, who are 'just' game players and not particularly well informed of this Potter world we love so much. Thank you for being the best and most enjoyable to watch. I am watching one player from each house who are going through relatively normally and one player who is going through with all intents towards being a baddie, an evil wizard. Most of the others I find are okay and not particularly horrible to watch just frustrating sometime in their lack of knowledge with the universe in which they are playing and one is just a huge asshat, whom I am considering stopping watching and instead seeing if I can find another to fill that persons spot for me. I know it’s irrelevant now but you’ll need to know in the future for stuff like that: you use the bones and use Wingaedium Leviosa to move them on the slabs in between the sticks that were sticking up with bones on them. It would build bone stairs.

I found your channel through Hogwarts Legacy playthroughs. From all the playthroughs on KZbin, yours are by far my favorite. I love the Harry Potter world and want to play this game, but unfortunately, I have to wait until July. The only thing I'm worried about IS, am I going to be able to because I'm what you call a cozy gamer? I don't have much experience with combat in games so I'm a bit weary on that part of the game. I'm so glad you're thinking about playing more and it makes my day seeing more of your playthrough! It is honestly so much fun! The outfit is so important as well! You've taught me a lot as I been playing through it and I'm the same way, less is more, I do think there is more that developers could polish or make easier, like quality of life options but honestly I think they have nailed it pretty well considering the scale of this game. I'm honestly do like your playthrough, I am every bit as excited as you are for this and I did pick it up because of your playthrough! I was on the fence with the game but I saw how much fun you were having and it re-ignited my love for the series and I been having so much fun playing along even knowing you're far ahead. You're way further ahead than I am now especially at the time of this episode. I just got to the same point this episode covers. Also you're totally right on the room of the requirement, the more I delve into it the more I'm recognizing how much you can do with it, your room of requirement is way larger than mine though, I got a very small room like the initial room, I'm hoping to get a bigger room soon so I can put more stations up. After seeing how tastefully you have planned your room of requirement, mine looks like a storage unit 😂 i use all my plants and potions profusely. So i made 3 small pot tables that can have 5 slots, 3 medium tables with 3 slots and 2 large pot tables. I also have 3 fertilizer makers and 3 moonstone miners. They take up all the space 😂

I think you get Alohamora from a side quest for all those locks. And also, you can use Wingardium Leviosa to move the skeleton bones between two platforms to make a bridge or staircase. Also good for crates to climb certain walls

What I find very funny about puzzles is that I solved some of the first trial's puzzles in the blink of an eye and you've struggled a lot. But on the other hand, you've moved so fast through some that it took me ages to solve.
