My first impression of Ominis is him telling me I'm a tryhard for stopping that troll in Hogsmeade. My reaction: "Pffft, you're just jealous, bro." Turns out he's way better than his descendant Voldemort. He's a good guy. Bit of a smug attitude (being from an "elite" wizarding family), but a good guy nonetheless.

Since you didn't seem to realize: Voldemort is part of the Gaunt family. Ominis' family. Merope Gaunt used love potion to seduce and marry a muggle, Tom Riddle (senior), and gave birth to Voldemort.

@@anthonym840 no it was planted there when lupin started. if it was there before then it was planted some time after Molly Weasley left Hogwarts 1961-1968. molly even said the whopping Willow was after her time. however lupin went to Hogwarts from 1971-1978. so it could have been planted in the 3 years before lupin went.

To be honest, as blunt as Ominis is, I totally get it and appreciate his personality. He’s so protective of Sebastian and (I haven’t got further than you in this episode yet) I’d assume it’s for good reason. I wouldn’t want to lie to him about the Undercroft, but I also understand why he wouldn’t trust us after we revealed Sebastian’s secret and felt annoyed that we were unintentionally suggesting we know more about Sebastian than he does (having been his closest friend for so long). I feel for Ominis, going against the grain of his family (esp. with the Voldemort link).

It was said in the books for sure, but not sure about the movies, in Prisoner of Azkaban I think, that the whomping willow was planted in Lupin's first year to cover the secret tunnel to the shrieking shack.

The glacius- diffindo combo is one of the strongest in the game. Freeze an enemy and while they are frozen, immediately cast diffindo to shatter them and do absolutely insane damage. With it I currently do 5K damage, being able to one shot most enemies.

Omg! Flip Ice Slice is such a nice catchy name.😂 I find that Accio-Leviso-Confringo is also a great combo, especially if you use your talent points to upgrade all three to affect the surrounding enemies as well. That way you can take out enemies two at a time ....

I know you're a head in terms of you playing vs what's been put out for us but there's a couple of things in case you haven't noticed or figured them out yet; 1) You don't need to Accio the blue moonstone ores just a basic cast will do, as well as stuff like those little balls in that one Merlin trial. 2) You don't necessarily need Wingardium Leviosa equipped onto any of your spell wheels because once you've unlocked the spell and cast Accio on objects your character will auto cast Wingardium as well. Neat detail that saves time and spell space.

On the Whomping Willow Question Snape Told Ron and Harry it was Planted before you were born. In POA it was planted in Lupins first year to hide the passage to the Shrieking Shack where Lupin could safely transform into his werewolf state.

Tip: you don't need to put wingardium leviosa on your spell set - just use accio and hold it, and if appropriate, the game will automatically switch to wingardium leviosa.

@@electricheartpony Yep it does, I still use winguardium simply because I don't always want the item dragged over to me. I forgot Leviosa levitates the object which can be used on crates and the like to reach higher areas whereas winguardium can't.

There are four types of spells, aside from the additional Room of Requirement spells, the Forbidden Curses and other essential spells like Protego, Stupefy and Revelio. Red are Damage spells. Grey are Utility spells. Yellow are Control spells. And Purple are Force spells.

You can take screenshots from the PS5. It is with a small oval button on the top left of the game controller. The right one opens your field guide. I just got my first PlayStation on Sunday and am trying to learn what does what. Terrible at fights right now. Based on what I saw with your game play, I have been spending a lot of time in Hogsmeade selling gear. I have been making sure the gear I am wearing is either invisible (like a hat) or transformed into a different appearance.

Here's a couple of ideas for what to use: Bread, and butter: accio, incendio, levioso, expeliarmus dueling: flipendo, glacio, diffindo, descendo (with talent that makes flippendo curse enemies to take more damage, then glacius-diffindo/descendo to deal damage) cursed cabbage: arresto momentum, flippendo, expeliarmus, ferraverto, talents for cursing with arresto/flippendo/stupefy, linked damage on cursed enemies, then use chomping cabage/tentacula/mandrake with Herbology III upgrades on all your gear, and transforming enemies into exploding barrels (which, with the damage link will one-shot all the cursed enemies when you turn one of them into a boom barrell).

Some important things aren't marked on the map. The worst offenders are: landing platforms (at least the region says how many there are, though), and butterflies (the worst part of trying to complete the collections)

I‘ve wanted you to use confringo for a bit now 😂 It’s my No. 1 spell in battle, way more useful than Incendio. It also is helpful in Merlin trials when the aim is farther away. PS: in the second I wrote that Miranda says: Oh it works farther away 😂 yeah, like Sebastian told a few secs ago. 😆 BTW Lumos was used in book one against devils snare….

Really skyrocketed her level up but there are still so many spells she hasn’t gotten yet because the main quest isn’t her priority. Really interesting strategy, one I haven’t seen before. I have actually gotten used to switching my spell sets during combat. With practice and memorization of which spells are on which wheel, you can become very proficient with spell combos. I usually just leave the utility spells off unless I need them, except disillusionment because I love to stealth. Also, for the map with the candles... if you want to know the answer. SPOILER for candle map. You go to the forbidden forest entrance and cast lumos near the bridge, then follow the candles and they'll lead you to a collectible.

Since I play it on Xbox I set the spell wheels to correspond with the button colors (example: red spells or damage spells on the right wheel to go with the red B button and control spells like levioso on the upper wheel to go with the yellow Y button)

I remember the time I realised that doi you can change the appearance of your clothes! I was idly watching HL KZbin when Zerkaaplays mentioned it and I got right out of bed, turned on my laptop and changed back to classic Hufflepuff robes there and then. I would play this game all day if I could. Just wandering from floo flame to floo flame, exploring the countryside is the best thing ever!

I believe the Womping Willow was planted during Remus's year because it needed to guard the secret entrance to the shrieking shack for when he transformed.

It's soooo much more fun when you can play around with your food. 🙂 Using spell combos like: Accio plus incendio/Decendo, Transformation & Bombarda/Magic throw (Especially with the transformation talent), expeliarmus and then their own axes (Magic throw) against them or glacius followed by Petrificus Totalus, or Transformation and Depulso for instant kills etc etc is so much fun!!! All of these many different ways of slaughtering and playing around with your enemies makes this one of the best games ever created. No wonder why Voldy had so much fun killing in the future ...it truly is an art.

A very helpful trick u can use to free up 1 spell slot is once u have learned Wingardium Leviosa as u did in this episode u dont actually need to equip that spell to use it. Once u have learned Wingardium Leviosa u can use Accio on moveable objects and by holding down the button your caracter will auto cast Wingardium Leviosa when the object u used Accio on gets close enough to u aslong as u keep the button pressed. After the spell change u can let go of the button. This is very useful when grabbing objects and becouse Accio is a combat spell its most likly already in the spell wheel.

Try your best to always do the dueling feats that show up on the side of the screen. They teach you hidden combat tips and tricks that you will help fight a lot easier and faster. Plus you can learn some pretty neat combos from even the most unexpected spells. I made my own unique combinations thanks to those feats, they will definitely help you a lot too, especially regarding Depulso. Very fun stuff you can pull with that! Love the playthrough! 😁

Absolutely this! I have a loop that works with the spell cooldowns in Accio, Confringo, Glacius and then Flipendo, you can even mix the order but you can loop Flipendo and Accio between basic cast and then just combo most enemies indefinitely it’s really cool and you can do this without a focus potion!! With a focus potion you can combo entire waves enemies!

What I like to do is have a spell of each type in the same spot on each wheel, like all my damage spells are square, control spells are circle, force is x, and utility is triangle. So that way I don’t get to confused when I switch wheels. Also, it’s a good idea to unlock all four spell wheels as soon as possible. Just so you have plenty of room for new spells

The scared guy could have gone with, from best to worst options 1. Asking us to help him get over his fear 2. Asking us to accompany him to the hidden herbology corridor (or any other courage test, really) to prove his bravery 3. Asking us to convince the other students to stop making fun of his fear (in whatever way, either talk them out of it or duo-dueling them) 4. Hell, even asking us to help him drop out of Hogwarts or change schools. But instead he went with 5. Asking us to help him lie to and trick his classmates. This fifth option will result in i) Him not getting any better and ii) Making everything worse if/when the truth comes out. I'd be willing to help him with any of the 4 top options, but I didn't give him the leaf at the end. It was literally the worst overall option. At least in his anger he might find some courage to do something.
