Great demo of all the small cabs! A video idea for you guys..... Demonstrating cab pairings. e.g. how does it sound going from one super compact to two, or as you mentioned, a big baby plus a super mini. As a two10 owner, I'd love to hear what happens if you add a one10 on top. I know you make a three10 now, but I kinda like the idea of a versatile rig with the option to go 1, 2 or 3x10 depending on the situation. It might also be interesting to shootout your three10 with a two10+one10.

Nice video guys 🙂I have the Big Baby 2 and the One 10T. Both wonderfull cabs. Earlier I had a One 10 but missed the sparkling of a tweeter. The One 10T is exactly what I wanted. Keep up the good work guys!

Interesting stuff and a bit counterintuitive in some ways. The two larger 12" seemed to not really need the tweeter much but with the mini I got the impression it can help balance it out.

Weight wise the mini-t seems close to compact.. But obviously a little less er compact 🙃

Best demo so far. The 10’s have a very pleasant warmness, the 12’s are more revealing (less room for error). I’m saving up for the BT3, but might breakdown and snag the BB3 in the meantime. Don’t get mad, but I think it’s time you guys retire the sign. The best cabs deserve the best vids, yeah?

@@matb5368 this only affected some pre-2019 cabs - since we moved to a hot glue machine over five years ago we’ve not had one single peeling issue on new cabs.

Terrific cabinet comparison. Is it reasonable to assume that one could adjust EQ settings to even out the character differences in the cabs? In other words, could one adjust EQ on a Super Mini T to make it sound like a 10CR, or vice versa?

I love how Alex admits to their cabs being a little confusing because they have so many varieties. It's insane to me, a guitar guy, how different all their cabs sound. I have the Activier Reality and come Monday, my Radical 2x12 will be here. Why two cabs??? And such different cabs?? One is for my quad cortex and one is for my Revv 120. Truly their cabs are game changing when you hear them in the room.

I am running a mess d800 with the 15 inch bag ends one with a coaxial speaker S15D and S15XD. I’m looking to replace with something lighter but great sounding and that has that clarity . I love the sound of my bag ends but the weight kills me. What would you recommend . 90% of my gigs I bring the one cab and that the coaxial one

I run the same amp through a Big Baby and life is very good indeed. I actually have 2 Big Babys, which I very occasionally stack. This is more volume than most FOH engineers appreciate from bassists. 😂 It is amazing if playing outdoors with mediocre PA support.

@@mastermachetier5594 I am sure you are going to love it! Just be ready that you won't be able to settle for lower quality going forward. Once you have one of these with the combination of small footprint, light weight and sound quality, you will have a hard time with most of the mass produced cabs available. At least, that has been my experience. I've gone Barefaced modular and have 2 each of the Two10 and the BigBaby2. Warning - they are so sensitive (basically "loud") that I often unplug the bottom cab if I have them stacked. So give a single cab quite a few gigs before you get super excited and buy the second to make a mini stack of doom. I would never discourage you from buying a second one, though... :-D

When you double up the minis, does it just increase loudness and efficiency, or does the tone open up to sound more like one of the larger 12s?
@BarefacedAudio
@BarefacedAudio 4 ай бұрын
As with all cabs, you get acoustic coupling at lower frequencies so the tonal balance becomes a bit more bass heavy but the low frequency roll-off slope shape/frequency doesn't change. The only cabs that go lower when you add more cabs are horn subs where the mouth isn't big enough for the horn length, so adding more mouth area extends the lows as well an increasing efficiency. However, although the lows don't get any deeper, the extra max LF output gives you more leeway to EQ them deeper when you have two rather than one cabs. That's the big thing with instrument amps - they're not necessarily reproducing sound, they're creating sound and EQ and filters can be an important part of that process.

is there a particular reason you don't offer a 15 inch speaker? lack of demand? You don't like them?
@BarefacedAudio
@BarefacedAudio 4 ай бұрын
@@BassRacerx we should make a video about this! The first three cabs we made all used 15” speakers and it was only once we’d developed the 12XN and 10CR drivers that we discontinued all the 15” bass models because the 12XN models were better for accurate tone and the 10CR better for coloured tone, without the compromise in the lows that people may have associated with smaller drivers vs 15”s. It is a educational/marketing challenge though, and I’m sure we’d sell 15” cabs if we made them - but I’m not sure they’d sound as good as the 10CR and 12XN models.

@@BarefacedAudio looking forward to it! There is just something about a 15 that has mojo. No it's not the most "hi fi" full range speaker but still sounds GREAT! Not as many 15 options on the market today as there used to to be!

@@BarefacedAudio I like the SVT 15 but just wish it had more power handling 300w for one cabinet is low by modern standards. I've played an old Trace Elliot 15 that i liked and and i've also used a 15 inch Roland keyboard amp "KC" series. The speech is through the Rode mic on the camera and compressed for audibility. The playing is through a large diaphragm condenser with no compression, so you get a more honest representation of the sound - it will never sound like an amazing recorded sound because we’re not doing the usual studio tricks to make bass sound fat. But read the reviews of our cabs all over the internet including the huge amount of incredibly positive feedback on our website.

@@vicky-zy4de we can’t turn up the bass cab mic because the signal will then clip on the peaks. This is a very good example of how heavily compressed most KZbin content is!
