What stuck me like a bolt of lightning was that Jefferson Davis and alike who led the Confederate against the Union, lived freely after the Civil War and were never put on trial for treason. Davis lived out his life untill 1889. However, the Native Americans Tribes who fought for the Confederacy lost half of their lands after the Civil War by law because they fought for the Confederacy. Diabolical is the word that comes to mind...
@CopperAboriginies5 ай бұрын
You almost have the story correctly but you added the wrong people in the story so you missed the mark. Jefferson Davis was the President of the Confederate States which was the Republic form of government and the Original Continental Congress of America. The Union was the British, which in time would become the Union States of the United States. The Confederates were all Indians not Europeans. The Indians of the North fought against the Indians of the South. We know the truth of this said Civil War of 1861 this war still is waged to this very day, by the Union or Dixiecrats or Democrats as their called to day. We're still here, and there are more then those 5 Civilized Tribes that signed treaties with the said United States gets Federal Funding. Those of us who didn't sign became known as Negro's, Colored, Blacks, and Now African Americans this is the secret hidden from everyone. Those Native Americans aren't Indians, this lie is now coming out, those Called Negro's Coloreds Mulatto's Blacks and African Americans are the true Indians. We aren't going anywhere, the Copper Colored Races found here by the Europeans not brought here from Africa. Y'all really need to listen closely more than one two three times.
@SeriousPOV5 ай бұрын
@CopperAboriginies You say that the Confederacy were Natives/Indians...In your opinion, Jefferson Davis was President of the Natives/Indians???? The Indian Removal Act of 1830 removed the Natives of the Southern States to IT(Indian Territory) and left the land to Anglo Southerners, who then with the use of slaves labor made "cotton king"... Reread, relearn, review your American History...

@Faus4us7 жыл бұрын
RedNitaHD Halito! I was cursing the ones responsible for taking that away from our ancestors. Another problem I have is the automatic U.S. citizenship at birth for Native Americans. They won't let us be on our own without being a part of their(U.S.) country. It may seem like a small thing but, to me I can't be free and live with nature the way my ancestors did for millenia. The destruction of our home, the Earth, isn't going to end unless we change and/or stop them. I feel it is in our time we have to make this change. The sooner the better
@frybreadpapi72837 жыл бұрын
Faus4us Halito, i've been trying to learn the language but my great grandfather passed. None of my other family knows the chahta language. Did you learn from your parents or elders your were close with?
@Faus4us7 жыл бұрын
RedNitaHD I've been teaching myself and utilizing a Choctaw website that helps. There's also some other things not many know about; deities, legends, both origin stories (creation and migration), the Chikasha Nation and ours were once a single nation (from migration story), etc. It's out there you just have to search and cross examine information from different sources, ask for as much information as you can from other Chahta, study, and practice what you learn.
@Faus4us7 жыл бұрын
RedNitaHD I often find myself asking for guidance from my late grandfather. He would tell me Chahta stories and legends when I was young. I didn't realize at the time that the stories he told me were Chahta in origin and that his mother had told him the same stories as a boy. I hope I can say the same for my children and their children.

To give you an example of this - and to show the ultimate sign of not being "civilized": Do you know what the word "mohawk" meant in several other native dialects of peoples that would encounter the Mohawk people? It meant "man eater" and "cannibal monster". Civilized?? I mean, watch a bunch of people eating a human body and then get back to me with your PCBS.

Brown is the Colors of Nature this puts Us back in the right spotit of the Living Creator. We have no right to do that. Especially when this land wasn't ours to begin with! whats wrong with American Indian culture? that's the problem and has been the problem with this society is we don't except what's different, we want to change it to make it better fit with our "values." The BIG problem I have with this is that this wasn't european land to begin with. Native Americans occupied this land WAYYYYYYYY before we came around, and we need to respect that.
