I can't fully express how much I love this channel. This is a 3 minute video, paaaacked with all the relevant information one would expect to receive after reading the title, delivered in an extraordinarily clear, lowkey and passionate way. This is so unbelievably refreshing in the internet of 2023. Not naming names but other major starwars fan channels on KZbin make 10+ minute videos vomiting the same paraphrased sentence 24 times making 0 sense, and at the end of the day getting infinitely more exposure, clicks, likes, and subs. ...You guys are heroes.❤

The Five Syndicates actually were discussed in Most Wanted before the release of Solo. But that said, the book WAS a tie-in to Solo! We also HAVE seen member gangs of the Crymorah - the Droid Gotra and Sun-tuul Pride were both considered members of the Crymorah Syndicate, until they took their own places in the fall of the syndicates during the late Civil War. Similarly, the Kanjiklub of Nar Kanji was a subset of the Hutt Cartel until they became their own thing.

Maul secretly controlling all of the Syndicates is very interesting. I get the feeling he is most loyal to Crimson Dawn though, I mean, just the name alone sounds more like he founded it, or at least renamed it to his liking. Also, Qi'ra is told to bring the whole cruiser she's on to Dathomir, and perhaps he does this with the other syndicates, but I would think that if the other members of the Shadow Collective knew where he lived, he'd no doubt be attacked relentlessly. The Hutts, Pykes, and Black Sun each have the funds and possibly even manpower within their own ranks to at the very least put on a strong attack separate of one another that even Maul on his own would struggle to defeat. Crimson Dawn on the other hand though, it kind of just seems like everyone's on that one ship, and it's Maul's personal little group of guys he's gathered to maybe even protect him from the other syndicates should an attack ever come. Very interesting. Sadly though, I think this book might just mean we never get a followup to Solo in a medium I'm more concerned with. I'm a movie and show fan first and foremost, which means any chance of a movie, limited series, or animated project is most likely not in the works to see Qi'ra meet up with Maul and put all the pieces in place to line up his story from Clone Wars to Solo to Rebels. It's a little weird having this movie just end with such a big reveal and it not be continued in a similar medium to give closure. This book most likely means this is where any other story is going to take place. I just need to see Maul get betrayed by Qi'ra and left on Malachor. Headcanon is great and all, but to have all my movies and shows not include that piece of his story is irksome.

George's sequel trilogy would have been about the underworld taking over after the Empire collapses with Maul at the top as the godfather of crime. I think a lot of what was said has been incorporated into the EU through Mando, War of the Bounty Hunters, Solo and Boba. Maul is at the top, bounty hunters competing, the Hutts have fallen apart, more groups are around by the time of the ST. I think his Underworld show would have been about that as well. Remembers that test footage?

The upcoming reference book Dawn of Rebellion has more details on Crymorah, including that they’re related to the Rang Clan and the Baldamiros (anatagonists from cancelled Any Hennig game). I’m betting all this comes from Underworld
