Let’s get something clear. It wasn’t a chokehold. People keep saying that, but there was no damage to Jordan Neely‘s neck nor had he fallen unconscious, which would’ve happened from a proper chokehold. It was a general restraining hold. Not nearly as effective as it could have been. But probably better he didn’t use a chokehold as the left would have used it against him.
@xdsclubgold1232 сағат бұрын
I keep trying to tell people that but eh...the narrative as we both know. The evidence that wasn't allowed into trial about Neely's past, his drug use and that he was on a list of 10 most dangerous homeless people....all that means nothing to BLM. His family is just trying to make a buck of this poor twisted soul.

Meanwhile all these people ignore Jordan Williams who killed a homeless man in June of 2023 on the train, who was also carrying a knife illegally btw. The DA dropped all the charges, difference being Jordan was black. I truly hope Penny sues, and brings all this racism and extreme bias out. Right from the DA's mouth for Williams "Under New York law, a person is justified in using deadly physical force when they reasonably believe it is necessary to use such force to defend themselves or others from imminent use of deadly or unlawful physical force." But penny is being crucified.

Daniel, I know you don't read the comments on KZbin, but as a person who rides the train everyday THANK YOU! You are a great human! I can't imagine what you have been through. Even without the charges and the trial. Just the incident itself is life changing. Then to add everything after the fact on top of that. You are a strong strong man. I wish I could give you hug. I don't think most black people have anything against you. STICK WITH IT! I hope I am lucky enough to run into you on the F train one day. If I do, all you will get from me is a quite thank you! That said. I also feel for Jordan, as I am sure you do as well. His family, and city failed him and it cost two men their life. He deserved better than what his family provided him. I don't do it anymore, but I use to try and help people like Jordan. However, it became clear to me that EMT's get angry when you call about someone passed out on the platform or the street. Because they can't do anything and they get calls on the same people every single day. I was attacked on the R train by a regular mental health case and the police told me. We have arrested this person countless times for assault and he is out of custody before the end our our shift. In my case, I left in an ambulance but when I met with the ADA in Manhattan I was told he had been given a plea deal for time served. I asked "What do you mean, he didn't go to jail". I was told he was in custody for 3 hours and that was the "time served" I didn't have the physical training or ability to defend myself. The ADA told me that I should take another train for my commute if possible because this guy was always on the R/W. There is only one line that goes to Broadway and Prince. So now I just take another train to WTC then either walk or get uber from there.
