The way I see it. Real or fake if it's a style I like then I like it and will buy it. But to me the *preluxz* one looks better than the real one. And who's gonna be inspecting ladies purses. If your out there trying to figure out if someone's bag is real who are you the prise police? So If you can get a really nice fake one then why not? Most of us don't have thousands dollars to spend on a real one and wouldn't anyway. No one has to know if it's fake or real. That's nobodies business. Enjoy and wear your bag which ever you have.

I have two pre-loved*preluxz* that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn’t touch. It’s not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

I live close to the Mexico border. I always go for*preluxz* , their quality is great. Some of them are made with leather and really hard to tell the difference from real or not. Either way, it’s your choice. No judgement from me

This topic was so refreshing! Thank u for keeping it all the way real! I’ve always loved coach-the high end purses at least, but I’m a LV lover always have been. And I feel like once u experience luxury-you’ll never wanna go back! 😂 So sorry to hear about your scam stories! I just went through sumthing similar and thankfully I’m getting my FULL Refund of $3.8K back, sadly I wasted $ on import fees too. Japan eBay is so risky! But what scared me was this seller sold over 15K items of super fakes or mine was at least-and they had a 5 star rating! But lesson learned. I’m so scared to buy pre-loved now! Smh

*preluxz* shopping etiquette. Explaining what the general rules are, how to approach an SA, how to dress, how stores may differ. Something like a step-by-step for newbies (like me) who feel out of their depth. The thing I worry about an the awkward moment when I've spent 20mins drooling over a bag just to turn and leave empty-handed. Idk what to say! Maybe that sounds dumb but I'm so awkward, I don't want to come off as rude or uncomfortable, it's not their fault I'm an anxious mess.

I love my luxury bags but they were all bought preloved so l never really spent a huge fortune on them but i also love and appreciate all of my contemporary handbags as well, there are so many upcoming designers that it really seems like you are getting a special piece for a fraction of the price of luxury.

Honestly sometimes I wish that I never got into luxury. I was happy with my Coach bags actually. Now that I went up to the LV, Chanel, Dior, Hermès, I feel I went full circle. I own Birkins and Kelly’s and these days, all I want to wear are my simple LV bags, not the Capucine but the Canvas ones and my new one in Denim. Of course they are pricey ,but definitely not as pricey as Hermès! I don’t know, I think I’m trying hard to come back to bags that have a much more reasonable price point. Actually, after the last news on Dior, it might be what it takes for me to stop buying luxury all together.

I feel the same way. My LV canvas bags get the most use from me. I have bags that cost more than double my LV canvas but my canvas bags are what I always go back to. What happened with Dior?

In Italy, they discovered that some Dior’s manufactures are exploiting workers, they had to work way too many hours, the place was filthy and unsafe. Can you imagine, we are paying 5K for a bag and they treat their people this way, when they can totally pay them very well. People say it’s all across the luxury brands. I knew I was paying too much for the bags, I was okay with it, it’s my money, but now you tell me they exploit their employees, I am NOT for it!

Apalling work conditions, filthy factory 🥺 Bag cost estimated at €53 🤦🏻‍♀I believe this for canvas material, not leather.

Melissa, I was watch a luxury bag video on which you left a comment that I really appreciated! It was a video where a young lady was contemplating whether or not to buy a little $3,000 Chanel bag. Your suggestion/response was to use that money for life (experiences) instead of spending it on a bag. I'm paraphrasing you, of course, but I think among the responses that told her to go ahead and buy the bag, your response was much more forward-thinking and responsible. Definitely in line with this video. I am not a luxury bag collector, but I have many, many, many contemporary style bags. And now I am on a bag no-buy for the summer. I need to do this to save money and to simply just use my bags! I am a handbag addict, for sure, and I need to stop. Anyway, great video, Melissa!! Respect from Canada!! ✌🏾

I'm so glad you said it. I want so badly to love wearing my Coach bags as much as I like wearing my Luxury handbags, but honestly that is the reason why I hesitate on purchasing and trying out several beautiful mid range luxury handbags. I feel just like you, I typically end up choosing my high end luxury brand bags because I want to get my cost per wear. I really want to try to change that especially now that the prices have gotten so ridiculous and the quality has deteriorated plus because of social media and all the dupes that are out there, I feel like now we see more people wearing brands like LV, and Chanel than the less expensive options.

Yes Melissa….I always new there was a huge mark up on these bags. You are right it is addicting and the Dior story has irritated me to no end. I am pretty much buying pre-love from Fashionphile or from my Japanese resellers. So far everything has been authentic and if I can save 25-50% on a bag with a small nic or two then I will. Now I do buy from boutique but only if I really love a bag and I can not find it on the pre-love market so that might happen once or twice a year. I also buy mid tier bags brand new such as Mulberry and a few European brands and all the bags are priced from around $500-$1,000…so not cheap but not outrageous and the quality has been equivalent to my high end lux. The only exception are my two Hermes bags as they are handmade 100% but I got those pre-love as well. I can say that I do rotate my mid tier bags but you are right with #4 if my mid tier and my lux work I will go with the lux. However one of my rules in purchasing bags is that neutrals can be purchased for $2-4k and colors (red,orange, acid green lavender, purple pink) need to be 1k or less. Hmmm I really want to take a look at the Coach backpack. This was a very good video and right on time.

I think I'm done with luxury bags, unless I see something truly unique that is "me in a bag" type of thing. My latest purchase was the YSL takeaway box bag which I truly love and see as a collector piece and also had a more attainable price point. I do drool over the Teen Jodie in Parakeet but I cannot justify spending that amount. Funnily enough, I get more wear out designer shoes than bags. If there is a type of shoe you find yourself wearing again and again, I highly recommend checking if there is a designer version that you like. I bought Valentino combats boots last year, and I have worn them non stop. xxx

I Feel Sad 😔 And So Stupid. I Should Have Done My Research Before Purchasing. This Is A Large Pre-owned Company But The Way The Seller Worded The Listing It Isn't Covered For Money Back Guarantee And It Says Final Sale In Listing. I Contacted The Customer Service Department Today And They Said I Needed To Contact Seller. The Seller Emailed Back That It Is A Final Sale. Expensive Lesson On My Part. 😔

I Even Said To The CS Rep That I Was Under The Impression That Any Handbag Over The $500 Price Automatically Goes To The Authentication Department (This One Was Sent Directly To Me) And She Said "NO, The Seller Has To Choose That When It Is Listed". I Was Stunned. I Said That I Was Not Aware That This Huge Company Allows Luxury Handbag Duplicates And This Is Validated By Two Sites To Be A Duplicate And The CS Said That "They Allow Merchandise From All Spectrums". I would disagree, contemporary handbags are not the same in quality, design, they dont hold their shape nor do they come with a lifetime repair warranty. Coach designs (cringe) no comparison; no where near luxury. Handbag collectors should simply make purchases intentionally and invest in pieces that will serve who you genuinely are.

I love Coach. I just ordered a couple bags from dress up your purse that I’m really excited to get in but I can’t speak on quality yet. I’ll do a video on them for sure. I love the designs of Tory Burch but I don’t feel like the quality is the best. I ordered a bag from a Scandinavian brand called Cala Jade that I think is great quality. I hope that helps.
