Great review Main stream reviewers are not allowed to get excited about a car they will get accused of being biased or swept up in hype . It’s refreshing to see the joy you get from driving it without having to justify that joy , it’s sonthing that can’t be measured

Thanks a lot 😊 real world test with real world roads and driver.. plus all fair now that we use the dragy :) this car may have seemed slow 0-100 but its a rocket

Many people compare cars based on power on paper or how fast is does 0-100kmph. Usually these type of people are the ones eager to race/prove to fk8 owners that they’ll win on a light to light race 😂, usually city driving fk8 will just lay low. Fk8s are not meant for straight line just so everyone knows, the fun part comes when its on the MOVE and CORNERING. Take a twisty road up in the regional outback that plays 1st - 3rd gear and i can promise you it can KEEP UP with any cars twice or even more power than the fk8 (please bring your 2 tonne hsv or xr6 😂 and see how it goes). This car is about really balance and sharp turn in and high speed turns. Even at stock at could go 272kmph fyi. A stage 2 fbo goes 300kph easily. In Australia no body drives that speed of course , hence why people play awd cars for traffic light to traffic light races (like rs3 or a45s or golf r). Thats where the fk8 don’t shine (the mentality of straight line prowess must been adopted from American movies 🤷🏼‍♂️). But on a twisty roads, anytime any-day. So in terms of driving enjoyment, drivers would get an fk8 or Porsche gt4, or m2cs.. to me the fk8 is like a btcc road spec made for the public. But if you into hooning, well, then get an xr6 or hsv 😂. - The end -

your exactly right man.. i think i was pretty fair on the car in that judgment.. its an absolute rocket on a B road.. very engaging to drive and is really impressive for a fwd honda!

What a great review. I actually love the passionate red seats, they look really supportive. I am almost tempted to trade in my ba xr6 mk2 turbo 6 speed,,,, almost, but not quite.. hahaha. The infotainment system is laggy because it needs more memory, ram and quicker processor. Apparently they will fix it with the next model.

They did some clever suspension geometry back magic with these. All but eliminated torque steer apparently. What u think?

its still there a little... but considering the power its really easy to manage.. i personally love torque steer lol

I am a fan of the outside so much I bought one! I am a proud owner of a 2019 Honda Civic Type R and I can tell you from experience, the car is EXTREMEMLY stable at triple digit speeds and that is in MPH. With a top speed of 170 MPH out of a 4 cylinder engine that gets close to 30 miles per gallon on the highway you can bet the Honda engineers know how to manage airflow

Love the sound of a screaming vtec honda 🤙🏼. On another note 0:03 - 0:08 sounds like its got a external wastegate 😁

Had my Type R for 2 years now, 90,000 kms and love it. My previous car was a Chrysler SRT Core 6.4ltr V8, give me the Honda any day. People see the Type R and have mixed feelings, but like you Ross once you drive it you understand what it’s all about. Mishimoto cold air intake and tune coming up for my Type R. 🚙💨💨💨💨💨💨

I would take the interior for my GR Yaris and I respect the Type R but FWD was the not selling point for me. Great car I agree. Looks I laughed at the start, like a 10 year old made it but they have grown on me. The launch you need to be more gentle unlike the GR. Anyway fun review Ross. Keep the cars coming. I'm jealous you get to review these cars.😍
