that's exactly right. at one point Eobard actually even tries to intercept Future Barrys lightning strike on himself (this occurred in the pilot but has not been officially confirmed) but he starts to fade away and so that's when he discovered that he can't kill Barry

Actually he was to become flash in 2020 and his mom would be alive if reverse flash wouldnt have travelled back and killed his mom ..when he lost his speed then he decided to fix it and moulded this new timeline to matcj the original by making barrg flash much earlier and without his mom being alive thus permanently setting this timeline and destroying the original one ..so now if his mom lives he wont become flash

***** He did record at different times. In any trailers like even for Season 4 of Arrow or season 2 of Flash he reminds people that he is caught up with the series. It takes time to upload a whole series,especially when you started behind in the first place but you can easily sit and watch loads of episodes in one go.
