I loved how it showed that Flash is actually able to match kryptonians, at least on the ground. Not invulnerable, but they can avoid hits from vibrating, they can use objects as weapons, and they're faster . I think Flash 1 could be wrong about the inevitability. They could kill the whole kryptonian army at that location, minus Zod, and then they find kryptonite, and kill him too.

I think the point is "this timeline dies today, no matter what" so not just Zod, I think Dark Flash already deal with him, but Earth gets destroyed anyway due to some reasons. To make it simpler, imagine "saving this timeline" is an answer to a math equation that requires an infinite amount of steps/calculations to complete and ANY mistake will give you the wrong answer (destroy the timeline=try again), so let's say you try 100 times, get 100 correct calculations but make a mistake at the 101 one, then you re-try and get 101 correct but in order to do so, question 99 must be wrong, you go back and somehow managed to fix both 99 and 101 just to realize that 102 exists and you make another mistake, and this test has infinite questions/calculations and at some point, you just torn the test paper due to too many erases/pencil marks on your test, and that test paper is the multiverse itself in this case

You can hate the effects and actors and how it isn’t like Flashpoint but I absolutely loved how much time the movie spent on Barry realizing and coming to terms with his mothers death, he realizes it right here and when he comes to the conclusion he must let her die he has tears running down his face for the remainder of the movie. I guess people can hate it if they want but that type of pain is a lot easier to relate and connect with when you know what it’s like to lose a parent, I couldn’t imagine being a position to save my mother but have to allow her to die for the sake of everyone else.

There are so many moments where we needed an extra SECOND to see the characters come to a realization, figure something out, or make a decision. But we don't get that. They just go ahead and DO the next thing in the script, like they're in a hurry just to get the movie over with. There IS a really interesting story here about time travel and consequences, both internal and external. But the filmmaking does a disservice to that story.

When you say that Zod will "always catch him or kill kara before he can do anything," that just shows that the writers have zero braincells. Also, the movie is implying that Zod is just as fast as young Barry (his arms' movement and his brain's reaction matches young Barry's speed when the latter tries to stab him in the back)- which not only contradicts what older Barry said earlier, but also creates all sorts of other problems. The Flashes can travel at lightspeed- does this mean that Kryptonians can too? This damages Man of Steel in retrospect: why didn't Zod use this obscene superspeed in that movie? Does Superman, pre-Justice League rebirth, have this superspeed too? If so, why not use it against Doomsday? Does Doomsday have lightspeed level superspeed too? If so, why doesn't Doomsday instant K.O. Batman and Wonderwoman before those two can even blink? But even if we ignore all these glaring continuity issues and just handwave it all away by saying that, maybe, Zod in this universe is much stronger; this still leaves another huge problem. Older Barry isn't doing anything! If he distracts Zod, or uses that lightning move to stun Zod, or uses that cyclone move, WHILE young Barry runs up and stabs him, this is a guaranteed K.O.! Zod is not faster than Flash, he can't react to BOTH of them working together. Even if older Barry is braindead and insists on not doing anything, there is also the fact that Kara is part of the equation. Go back in time to a precise moment when Zod is preoccupied fighting Kara. STAB HIM THEN. Or go back further in time, inform Kara that they need to work together. Bam, Zod is now dead. It's utterly embarrasing that two speedsters, each of them perfectly capable of killing a Kryptonian, AND Supergirl, all working together, cannot kill Zod after presumably thousands of tries. This is bullshit.

Time remnants. It could have been done. It was done by The Flash in the CW twice. First, he used it in his final battle against Zoom, calling out a past version of him who sacrificed for the sake of the multiverse. The second time is Barry creating multiple time remnants to fight one time remnant that escaped during Flashpoint (the time remnant that remained alive got hated by Team Flash because he wasn't the OG Flash and became Savitar, who went to kill Iris West and make Flash to become him in the Future). This is developed in seasons 2 and 3. Truly remarkable, as these seasons did what The Flash Movie couldn't do.

Barry made a branch in his timeline, ,resulting in creating this version of 'Flashpoint'. He didn't live through this Flashpoint universe, he's a jumper from the DCEU. That's why there are 2 different Barrys. From there within the universe where the fight takes place, Younger Barry is continuing to loop back to a point where they left the chornosphere, making new branches in that universes' timeline. Basically, he's not thinking it through. DCEU Barry could have thought of this if he knew more about Time Travel, but he's clearly doesn't. CW Barry has a greater knowledge in the earlier seasons because narratively, his training has been accelerated by Harrison Wells and that's a huge aspect of season 1

before it was a flop, the director said there was indeed an extended director's cut but the movie flopped hard, so we will never see it. Director's cut or theatrical, it was never going to be the og movie because Gunn suddenly came in and wanted stuff put there and removed, so they had to do dogxxxx CGI that took a couple of weeks.

Look at how old Barry runs, of course we all joke that it looks stupid, but if you look closely it shows how speedsted needs to run differently. Young Barry doesn't have silly run because he just got his powers so he didn't figure out proper way to run, he runs just like when he didn't have super speed. But when old Barry charges electric attack he also uses normal run.

Definitely like I would've loved this more if it was closer to the comic with thawne being the villan, but it definitely wasn't bad.I mean it has cgi of the early 2000s sure but get past that and Ezra and I think it's a solid 7.5/10. We got a great zod, two great batmen, a good supergirl, and some great fight scenes and moments. Some of the writing had some dumb lines, but so did the tv show, and way too many people give that show a pass and it's not really a good show at all

I don't know if anyone else had picked up on this, but this scene was also very powerful because while Barry Prime was telling Young Barry that Barry Prime can't save (their) mother, by extension, Young Barry must also not exist. So to Young Barry, he most likely knew it wasn't just about saving his mom. The only way to truly fix things is that he must understand, he, himself must not exist either, which is a heart breaking thing to accept. --knowing that you, everything you know, your mother, and all of your own reality *must* be erased in order for the rest of reality to exist.

The original ending of The Flash involved Barry meeting Supergirl (Sasha Calle) and Michael Keaton's Batman at the courthouse when his father is exonerated. This ending would have reversed their deaths from earlier in the film and would have shown that Barry failed to restore the original DCEU timeline that started with Man of Steel. The original ending of The Flash was meant to remove Ben Affleck's Batman (also known as Batfleck by the fans) and Henry Cavill's Superman from the main DCEU timeline. However, after the merger, DeLuca and Andy wanted Cavill's Superman to continue in future movies, such as the potential sequel to Black Adam. Similarly, Wonder Woman 3 was possibly in the works at that time, so an ending scene was shot in which Cavil's Superman and Gadot's Diana Prince (also called Wonder Woman) appear at the courthouse. Interestingly, this ending also had Keaton's Batman and Supergirl, as both Keaton and Calle were on the set to reshoot this scene. It would have brought serious disruptions in the DCEU timeline, as superheroes from different timelines would exist in the same continuity. In og ending the Bruce who is not George Clooney is Offscreen stepping out of car and after Barry asks "who the ** is that ? ". The screen turns to black and also Supergirl and Keaton Batman are alive in the end, there were scenes with superman foreshadowing Man of Steel 2 and incredibly the stupid should-have been-deleted baby scene was supposed to be a Volcano eruption

I believe many people missed the significance of this sequence. In every attempt, even with Supergirl in the loop, the world ends with Zod terraforming. The only way it (the world is saved) is a world with Superman on it (as seen in Man of Steel). A world without Superman, is a world lost.

The fact that Faora, who could only be defeated by the sacrifice of Colonel Hardy and his men, disappeared from this movie after being slashed by The Flash (I mean why the hell would Barry do that) is already an insult to Man of Steel. Was it even established that Kriptonian blades could hurt Kriptonians? That doesn't even make sense as someone that takes one blade can fight them back. This movie has more plot holes the more you look at it. Are you telling me that The Flash can kill Faora with that Savitar-like blade in less than 1 second but he can't kill all those Kriptonians because of fixed-point nonsense? This movie writing is mediocre at best but the way they handled the final act deserves to have people fired.

You can say the CGI is bad but it’s not about the movie, it’s about understanding the consequences through time traveling. Like science fiction. 2013 Barry keeps going through a lot of attempts through time but can’t save Batman and Supergirl because fate always comes at different altered moments for their death to come. The more you change that time, the more it creates time rifts to collapse as if time won’t continue to stream straight but create more branches with no future. That’s another reason why time traveling is dangerous to use because interactions with history events can alter the future we don’t belong in. Changing everyone’s fates, dreams, and things they never had or never happened. Like meta humans never existed. Aquaman never born or existed. Creating a multiverse of things that never existed in your own timeline.

Exactly. Flash is just trying to save his mom, he gets close to doing it in the end of the movie but it takes 3 Barrys to coexist and reality is even breaking down cause he's creating a paradox. That's why prime Barry gives up cause he finally realizes his goal is impossible to achieve. To the people arguing that the plot doesn't make sense, that's the point, he's breaking the rules of the universe and his plan doesn't make sense. Barry 1: only tried TWO TIMES before giving up, *let his own mother die* and changed history so his father wouldn't go to prison, despite all his blabber about inevitable intersections and the fact HE caused all that ruckus, proving that the past can be changed.
