Joe (Jesse L. Martin) has a heart-to-heart with Cecile (Danielle Nicolet). A new big bad is introduced to Team Flash and friends and foes, old and new, begin to descend upon Central City. While I agree, Barry could have just ran him to Iron Heights, but at least he dodged the boomerangs and didn't just get tossed on his ass by them, at least he tried to take out Captain Boomerang and not try to talk him down🤣. Also Barry seems heavily distracted with Iris and their dinner plans so who knows what's going on there.

You see that’s the thing man, I’m gonna assume you’ve watched every episode of this show so far. I think we’ve gotten so used to Barry talking down villains or stopping to have a chat instead of taking them down in a blink of an eye. We’ve gotten used to it to the point as when he does some form of competency we rejoice over it😂

They totally went for the New 52 look and I'm loving it. Now Flash looks like Flash except for Grant Gustin's skinnier appearance. He just needed to bulk up a bit at least have a lean physique. The loose sections on the suit are hard not to notice.

I think he did it just to show how care free he was on this fight to where he'd risk running off for sec and not have to use as much energy that he would he hadn't built up speed. Or and this might actually be more likely, if he builds up speed and then throws the lightning he would be able to throw a more powerful to lightning bolt at the force field explosion type thing
