I think there's parts of this movie that are genuinely solid, maybe even great, including (shockingly) Ezra Miller's performance. But the things that suck about it *really* suck, including the worst CGI I've ever seen in a movie relative to its budget and profile. Feels truly bizarre to think that this misshapen thing is the one Tom Cruise and Stephen King hail as an all-time great.

My friends got so mad at me last night for having said, months ago, as a joke, that Nic Cage would be in this! I gotta tell you, I could not believe my eyes when I clocked that long haired weirdo fighting a giant spider. Kevin Smith must be dying of dehydration after creaming his jorts... But honestly, this movie was so much fun that I could almost ignore the Polar-Express-meat-puppet-freak-show that was the human CGI.

They made me so long ago it was before any of the Ezra Miller craziness happened. Also a bunch of other people worked hard on this film. I don't have any problem watching this movie, however if they keep Ezra Miller as the flash going forward I will not be looking at any future films that have them in it.

at 18:30 Greg says Tim Burton would never make a movie like this. You’re right. It’d probably be a lot worse. Alice in Wonderland, Miss Perigrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Dark Shadows, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, DUMBO! And… Planet of the Apes I honestly don’t think Tim Burton is above making some big budget schlock like he pretended he used to be. Don’t forget that Nic Cage is in here with a giant spider because of Tim Burton. That dude literally ONLY makes big budget adaptations of other people’s stuff now. Even Wednesday. I think Tim Burton would have absolutely directed this movie if they wheeled up enough money.

I absolutely loved the Nicholas Cage Superman universe. THAT was a moment for me that I was blown away by. I also really liked the new Batfleck Batsuit. I know that James Gunn likes Ezra Miller as the Flash and is trying to keep him on as Barry Allen, but as a fan of the character(Not gonna speak on Ezra Miller's allegations) I think they should recast him. I just never clicked with Ezra as Barry Allen.

Bruce says "Like the time you did it in Chernobyl?" and Barry goes on to explain it wasn't like that, it was bigger and different. While this is technically canon to the Snyder Cut because of the few mentions we also have Wonder Woman flying which isn't canon. Just shows you how absolutely absurd the continuity is and how no one gives a shit. Patty Jenkins and James Wan both said they were canon to Snyder's world, not Joss' but then do shit that completely contradicts that. Why is Mera British in one and not in the other? Why the fuck did Snyder do that?

My thoughts on the Flash⚡️movie: It was “okay”. But with that said... This vision for this movie should have been how they started the DCEU. No way would Zack Synder would have done this film... at all. It took 10 years to get to where this film is now... and they’re rebooting it now. This doesn’t feel like a Marvel movie nor a gritty DCEU movie, but a modern day superhero film you’d go see today. Entertaining. Great action. Some funny sequences. Miller and Keaton steal the show. Affleck’s screen time made me realize how much I’m gonna miss him as Batman. Supergirl, the more I saw her, the more I wanted of her. Not enough screen time with her. AMAZING cameos. My favorite part of the film was one of the cameos, it almost made me jump out my seat... I was so happy. Some questionable visual effects. Weak final act. Weak after credits scene. Will need to see it a second time to understand “some” things explained. Would I see it again? Yes.
