The real hero of this story is Krakkl, who gave his life for a people that wasn't even his own - just to help a dear friend - which happened to result in the salvation of his own people. To me, that's the kind of heroics that stand out: The willingness to give everything of oneself simply to do what is right.

There is a cheesy, non animated version made in the Max Headroom era where he outruns a missile, it detonated and amplified his speed to slightly beyond lightspeed, putting the Flash in a kind of time warp where he was I think 20 or so years in the future and Star Labs was a dark and creepy place along with the rest of the world. So chances are, Flash goes back in time beyond the universal speed of C or light.

Technically Barry Allen did. Post Crisis in a Marvel book. QUASAR. In that book Quasar runs into a blond speedster in a tattered red outfit. Asked his name he responds as best he can- “Buried Alien “. Obviously an unofficial homage. As I recall he raced several Marvel speedsters

I've recently been thinking about what would happen if Quicksilver, particularly as portrayed in the X-Men Movies (Since I've heard he's typically a lot slower in the comics) were to suddenly gain access to the Speedforce. If the Speedforce is able to grant such tremendous capabilities to someone who was beforehand just a regular human, what on earth would happen if someone who is already a biological Speedster were to gain access to that well of energy. Perhaps he could exceed lightspeed without the risk of getting sucked into the Speedforce for example, perhaps relativity would make it so the upper limit wouldn't change but his base speed would, perhaps he'd be able to run faster than another Speedforce user with the same level of access to the Speedforce, or perhaps he'd have incredible endurance and be able to run virtually indefinitely.
