Oh, it's my favorite flavor win from the set
@DRAGHNALL5 жыл бұрын
I did see the video, but disagree. Drill Bit maybe a bad pun but it's so much more. It's not just the fact that the name and flavor make the card but also the art and what the card actually does is important as well. This card is one of the best example of flavor(the what makes this card unique flavor) . Every aspect is relatable to the other. Not alot of cards do that. From the Name to Function to Flavor Text this card is a win, and in my opinion is great comedy. I'm sorry that you felt I commented and with out watching the video, but Drill Bit is a "Bit" BETTER than Might of Oaks.
@ziziorens3485 жыл бұрын
D. Walter III oh, thank you for such a thorough answer! You exactly pin-pointed all of my thoughts about the card. I, too, think it’s a perfection of the card in terms of relatability to itself. Just layer after layer of comedy in such a minuscule amount of words.
@DeepCDiva5 жыл бұрын
I don't really like the pun in the card but the art + text have such a stupidly malicious to it, I can't help but play it and think that yeah. It's never boring.

I really appreciate the joke at 21:39 Taking five tries to get everything right in one go, just to then "ruin" the finally perfect clip with that information. After telling the audience that it took five tries, you might as well have stitched it together, making it clear for the audience that it took multiple recordings. But going to great lengths to make sure everything is perfect, just to then destroy everything without reason is just plain hilarious.

Skullcrack. My favourite flavour text. The title establishes brutality. So does the art. But then, the flavour takes goes on about the lawmage and logical arguments, which in itself is a turn. This is resolved by the second half of the sentence, which is equally dry, but evokes the art and has a simple charm due to the false ambiguity. We know Blunk just bashed the rando lawmage's skull in, as demonstrated everywhere else, but the framing of the joke makes it work. P.S: I am not qualified to talk about humour on the same level as Mr. Spicy Stand-Up 8-Racky-Wacky Poet. I'm just trying to explain my favourite flavour text with the tools I have been given. I may have bitten off more than I can chew here.

7:00 Mind if I roll neeeeeed? Also, the title of Drill Bit is another pun, not just the flavor text. It's a comedy routine (a bit) that involves a drill going through a skull - stuff Rakdos & the cult would find hilarious - and also the bit of a drill (the part on the end).

The Drill Bit pun is actually a flavor trap. The person to point out that the drill bit is actually boring (physically,) is likely to find themselves as a Rakdos 'volunteer'. It is a trap disguising a threat to the audience watching the Drill Bit performance. At least, that is the comedic layer I've found within it. It shows the Rakdos aren't sane, but will use wordplay to plant an excuse to kill you.
