I used to work for an asphalt company a couple years back. My job was wash bay so I bet you could guess how heavy the cleaning was. We used to just use acid on all the aluminum parts. We’d just spray it on, no scrubbing needed, would take any and every dirt, grime, spots etc. off. Worked like a charm and the aluminum looked beautiful right after.

I am a pressure washer mechanic for a industrial pressure washer company. So this is my job/my life. You are totally washing in the correct manner. You always should be rinsing bottom up. You push the soap around more going bottom up than top down. Keep up your good work!
@ralphllivrah9551 Жыл бұрын
You always wash top down. All that dirt just flows back over what you’ve cleaned. You’ll never get done. Doesn’t even make sense.

You should play around with using your tire shine in a foam sprayer. I use it on a lot of trucks with mud tires that have knobby shoulder lugs, which makes it very hard and time consuming to apply with an applicator. Foamed it on, and let it settle and then wiped off excess, and desired sheen. Saved myself about 45 minutes that way.

People whining about degreaser on tires are probably thinking that way due to experiences with degreasers/APCs used on interior plastics/trim/vinyl. In my opinion tires are built to withstand much worse, and if degreaser dries them out at all, you’re literally covering them in hydrating tire shine after….. as you said, “do you even drive on your tires bro” 😂😂
@muchachogrande20192 жыл бұрын
A lot of people say that it accelerates the rubber deterioration and actually makes the browning come back worse/faster. I honestly haven't looked into the science of it all that much but in my COMPLETELY anecdotal experience I haven't seen that to be the case. My thought is that the tire is going to wear out from ya know.... driving on it, way before it's going to wear out because someone used a degreaser on it. If you're really really concerned just make sure you stick to tire dressings that also hydrate and nourish the rubber or use a dedicated rubber conditioner occasionally.
@johnbaron30702 жыл бұрын
@@muchachogrande2019 browning is by design I believe. Protects the tire.

While I love the detail factory tire brush, especially on low profile tires, for literally anything bigger than the average car tire I use a Great Value multi-purpose brush I found at Walmart for like $3. It's legitimately my all time favorite tire brush and it's basically the same thing as the detail factory tire brush only scaled up a bit. It's honestly perfect for tires especially on trucks.

Bobby! What's up BIG DOG?! a few things . That small brush would be FANSTASTIC on vehicle tires👍. The roof of this truck doesn't get taken care of like the rest of the Truck. As a Truck driver myself, 50% of the time people dont do more than wash n rinse the roof. Most dont dry it nor do they wax or protect it! That roof takes ABUSE like nothing else. That BIG FIREBALL in the sky, aka the sun🌞, is BRUTAL on any surface and especially so on Flat surfaces; cooking All day from all angles! Oh and the rinsing BOTTOM UP!🤬 I have had a little push back on that as well. One guy basically told me I was an Idiot and asked who taught me how to wash a vehicle🤦♂️.. IGNORANCE is BLISS 🤣.. great Video brutha. Lovin' Kona! Take care Bob! Oh, a guy on the Tube is claiming some of these High ph Low ph systems are HARD on paint and arent High quality.... everyone has something to say... especially when they are selling soaps too😉🤯. peace Bob❌...

The IK 12's work great with high pH products! The multi pro 12 sadly doesn't have a shrader valve like the foam pro 12. But you can easily convert the foam to a high output multi! With the orange tip, block off the air inlet (with some tape) and remove the cotton filter from the lance. Now it sprays out loads of product, bigger flow rate than the multi!

I sprayed a lot of chemicals during my life. Get an electric motor driven pump sprayer. It will change your life,better than airing up. You can go forever. You can have change over value,for you huge tanks of cleaning products. Be easier to tell your usage amounts over a month. You could set it up like your pressure washer and the spray power would be variable as well. You have a constant pressure spray with the electrical motor as well. This keeps chemical output constant,as well.

That M-shine looks like an awesomse product, like the rest of your stuff! I've recently had some awesome experience with polishing aluminium by hand. It was just as oxidized as this frame rail, but just a pass or two by hand made it shine like crazy. I was using Optimum Metal Polish, but any polish would probably do? It would be awesome if an expert like you would look into it! I'd bet you'd find an even quicker and easier way to polish to a mirror shine.

I have some that I still need to try on my 2020 Kenworth W990 that is about 3 years old and has a ton of aluminum on it. Pretty much everything except the cab and frame rails are aluminum.
