Just bought these recently and have 4 days on them. And I LOVE them! Super stiff and responsive, exactly what I wanted. These are my first "high end" binding and I'm not disappointed. They are mounted on my 162 Rome Blur and they seem to dampen chop and let me go as fast as I want confidently. As you mentioned Kevin, the locking mechanism on the straps is a pain. I had mine get stuck after tightening down too much and had to dismount to fix the problem. Happened on both "ankle" straps. I found the rear entry is alot more solid than my Flow alphas, which it should be. Definitely a change going from alphas to nx2 cx but well worth it 🤙

I've just had 2 hours with these indoors (UK). I've been using an old set of Flow Pro 11 for the last couple of years. The NX2 CX are the most comfortable bindings I have ever used. I bought them due to this review and also being a great price at Absolute Snow. Now I need to work out how to send you a tip to say thanks...

These things look almost exactly like the NXT Scotty Lagos I got in the late aughts and used for a decade since the two strap bindings of the era gave me a lot of foot pain. Loved almost everything about them though the folding high back does create some minor annoyances. Pro tip: mark your ratchet straps with a Sharpie for your preferred setup so that you never lose your adjustment. This is key if you ever need to tuck the high back under the foot strap for transport on a rack or in a bag.

I Owen 2 sets and I LOVE THEM!!! This strap coverage is a must for bigger riders, it offers a superior comfort over traditional 2 strap bindings. I did how ever manage to bend the aluminum frame, FLOW was amazing about the problem!! They drop shipped me a band new pair ASAP!!

Love these bindings... my 2nd ever pair as my first pair were Flow's from about 5 years ago, but they didn't have the single joined foot/toe it was just 2 separate straps. I find these NX2s provide even better control.. I've only ridden them a few times so far (with my Bataleon The One 161, I bought them together at the end of last season). But even the first day I rode with this combo it was like I'd been wearing them for a full season it just felt right! Looking forward to trying these on future boards I have my eye on like the Jones Mind Expander

Had flows til 2014, back when they had a nylon fabric uni-flap foot holster. Super convenient, but the performance was ultimately lacking - went to a set of Burton Cartels (which I'm still on today). The new ones certainly look interesting, and might be worth revisiting after all these years
@hootsmun263 жыл бұрын
gotta love the flows! i have been using them since 98 (apart from a couple of years going over to the dark side and regretting it), now on my 2nd pair. they are solid and once set up, really comfortable, supportive and super quick to strap in. always the first one ready to head into the pow wow! And so much easier to strap in on super steep slopes in the backcountry....face up the slope step up and into the binding snap the high back and repeat, done in seconds. long live the flows!! :)

So unlike the GT’s the high backs on these aren’t adjustable? I have GT’s on two boards and moved the high back, backwards to accommodate my boot size. Which is what flow says to do. I have noticed flow doesn’t even have the GT’s on their website anyone.

Good review, never knew the benefits of some flow design as I avoided them since my rentals as a beginner. Is there any way to strap them in while on a slope?
@AngrySnowboarder4 жыл бұрын
Yes.

face the slope and wedge the board in the snow, then you can just kick in, lock and go.

Hi Great detail reviews, How is it compare to Now O-Drive, Rome Katana, and Rome Black label, in responsiveness, comfort, strap and reducing leg fatigue? Thanks
@AngrySnowboarder4 жыл бұрын
It's more like the O-Drive and less like the Romes just due to how it's built. If you were looking at a Rome binding that is comparable it would be the Targa. It's a highly responsive binding.

@@AngrySnowboarder interesting, so Rome targa is more responsive than Katana

Dumb question here. Can these be used on an EST Channel system? I have no experience with Channel systems but I'm really interested in the Endeavor Archetype. Not sure I want to give up my Flow NX2s though thanks.

Shouldn't be an issue.

I know this might be a bit late, but I’ve just bought a pair of nx2 gt’s and they are definitely compatible with ICS/EST as its an option on the binding discs and written on the printed setup guide provided with the binding.

Hey Kevin, Thank for the reviews. I have these nx2 cx bindings and I find that in order to get into them easily, I have to loosen the straps a couple clicks and then tighten back up after the highback is locked in. I have tried just riding them at the setting where it's easy to get into, but my boot ends up moving from side to side. Is this just the way it is? I wear size 8 Salomon Dialogue and a size medium nx2 cx binding. Thank you.

Maybe a bit of adjustment and some "Flow" technique will help. Medium is probably on the small size for your boot. To get extra space, move the toe straps forward. Undo the toe strap screws and you'll find they have a slot. Once you have your straps adjusted and centred with your boots in and high back locked, the technique I use to get out is: Unlock highback Lift heel and use the active strap to pull the highback down for me Pull boot out Getting in is opposite and takes some practice, but having the heel lifted from the foot bed on the way in helps. Then stomp heel down and lift highback. Flow = pita to setup. Sweet when working well. Good luck!
@Chaugar3 жыл бұрын
Just the way it is. I'm a boot size 9.5 and size Large in the Nx2 and yes there is a bit if lateral movement in the toe box. I just set my angles 3 degrees less than where I want them to end up bc my toes will fan out laterally about 3 degrees due to the extra room. But generally speaking you don't want to he tightening and loosening the rachets everytime you get in and out.

For a bootsize US9, Ride Anthem, do you advise a M or a L binding of the NX2-CX?
@AngrySnowboarder4 жыл бұрын
Medium.
@ramonjoustra99124 жыл бұрын
@@AngrySnowboarder Just FYI. And perhaps other buyers. Went to the store to compare the NX2 M and L. But for my type of boot the M would have destroyed my boots. So choose the L.
@petehelme77143 жыл бұрын
you really have to fit the boots to find out. My size 44 K2's are bulky-wide and rub against the interior bolts in a L, but XL's, which I ended up buying, are technically a bit big.
