Yup. Love all the stories and lore too. The seafood story was hillarious! It's like what i imagine hanging with Billy Gibbons is like. Ofcourse Guthrie actually knows what it's like. And Jerry Douglas....that still blows my mind.

Guthrie, the reason I am so glued to your videos is, I have played in cover bands for 35 years and I can duplicate most classic rock and blues rock tunes well, but the way you sit and play such cool stuff, makes me think I have such a long ways to go as a player. I am mesmorized by the stuff I cant play, so I push on

I grew up in a small town in the 90’s. My little brother and I would spend hours and hours at a local guitar store called Grandpa’s Guitars. We’d buy stuff from time to time, but mostly we’d go in there to talk with the old man and any other pickers in town who were just hanging out. I loved it even back then, but now that all those old shops around here are closed I miss it more and more all the time. These rambling stories about finding the perfect guitar or meeting some flashy picker or whatever is a huge comfort to me and much appreciated. I won’t be moving on any time too soon GT

Great stories, great playing, valuable information. Guthrie truly is a musician's musician and really is the main reason I grabbed 2 Teles in the past 5 years. Now he creates this gem with a Tele through the Keeley Halo (I grabbed one last summer) and an Electric Mistress which I am about to buy. I've been playing for 35+ years and Guthrie just continues to inspire thru both words and his playing........Guthrie, you are the "Real Deal"!!!

Great Telecaster story. I just want to say thanks for taking the time to make this content . I know how frustrating it can be running a channel and dealing with "keyboard warriors" or "telephone tough guys" if you will. I try not to let it get to me because the good viewers outnumber the bad . I just block the hate now. They are not contaminating my channel, and I'm glad you take the same approach. Mr GT, as a son-of-the-south, i love your stories. The stories say so much about how you play, the tones and vibe of your music. If all we are interested in is the "technical" stuff, and we miss the humanity of the musicians we admire and aspire to emulate in some small way, well, then we have missed probably the more important part of it all. So, thanks.

I have an old timey strat, '54 body '56 neck. When I bought it, spongy and loose feeling. One day I find that it's shimmed UP in angle, which was silly cause the neck pocket is already shallow so the board sits high without a shim. Anyways, took the shim out and the strings instantly felt tighter after setting it all back up to my preferences. Back in went the shim.

Great story, Guthrie. Thank you. When it comes to listening, or not -- I often hear your musicality coming through in your words as well, and in your spoken phrasing. In fact, in this video, a chorus for a -- I'm hurtin' but I'm healin' song -- popped right out. (8:29 - 8:35). Song would be called, 'It's Really That Simple'. "Just move on, Don't waste anybody's time, Don't comment, don't complain, Just move on." When we open to vibration, aka the spirit of creativity, all is possible. Thank you, GT. Peace. Love. Music.

Wow, you brought back a memory I haven’t thought of in years. I became familiar with Joe Patti seafood while going through Navy flight training in Pensacola. After I got my pilot wings it wasn’t uncommon to take flights to P-cola and squadron mates would put in orders for seafood. On one trip we took a taxi there from the base and the old guy running the place lent us his old pickup truck to go into town and get some lunch. When we returned our order was packed on ice and we flew back home and delivered all the Joe Patti seafood we’d procured.
