I tried this today in class numerous times during live rolling. In the worst attempts, I got a bit of wind knocked out of me, but it wasn't much different from pulling guard on a strong wrestler. The modified break fall is very important. I liked trying it when I got their posture bent forward by grip fighting, so I didn't have to reach so high with the leg over their shoulder. I succeeded in pulling triangle position a couple times, but I could not lock up the triangle, because the impact of falling on my back threw off my balance, and everyone was very quick to posture up and defend. I will keep practicing, but it's obviously "Very Risky." I think a blue belt could succeed with this, but gotta be nimble.

you be BB soon. cheers for the comment.
@ricardoappel74293 жыл бұрын
If the poster up and try to stand u need to hook the leg with you’re arm to stop them and use off hand to pull don’t on the head then get the pinch and secure the triangle if triangle is already secured just hook the leg with your arc to prevent them standing if you don’t lock the triangle and the start to slip transition to arm bar as they stand if you feel you are about to lose the triangle

I feel if you are able to get your knee that close to their face to do a flying triangle you may as well just knee them in the head the only reason I can see this being more useful is if you accidentally wind up there by missing the knee
