Daryl and Joe discuss the state of the bodywork and the future of the Fast and Furious Charger's hood. It's been decided the shop is building the iteration of the Charger from the beginning of the drag race with Brian's Supra. What other challenges does the shop face?

Well I guess if you go with the 572. You could a least use the Enderle "Buzzard catcher scoop. Not Bug but Buzzard.. the big scoop. You would have to use the 3" inch Enderle injector spacer to adapt it to your blower and that's exactly what was on the Charger in the movie.

@JustDriven
@JustDriven 2 жыл бұрын
None of us here can figure out where this "treated like crap" is coming from. Nothing in this video shows it being treated poorly. The panel gaps. The vinyl top delete. The metal hood. The very very very expensive engine build. The rear panel was purchased but it was never stated we were using it. We love and appreciate the passion. We have the same passion. Trust us. Pausing the frame at 5:48 it appears that the movie car does not have the chrome trim piece that you so want to avoid painting black. Looks to me like they filled the holes because they couldn't find the piece or didn't need to find it, and painted it over for a smoother look.
@JustDriven
@JustDriven 2 жыл бұрын
Yah, we noticed that. Not sure if we are going to wold the holes shut or cover the panel in black. That is the current debate around the shop. What do you think?
@hilanddoug
@hilanddoug 2 жыл бұрын
@@JustDriven I'll answer your question with a question: Which is easier, re-drilling the holes or re-chroming the 'hard to find' trim piece? I'd wager drilling the holes would be easier, but I have very limited experience! I'm just learning on someone else's projects- a bit of hands-on sheet steel body work on the King Zero and some frame fabrication and miscellaneous for the F1 Hot Rod over on the Casey Putsch channel. Exceptionally rewarding work and I've learned a lot. I've been enjoying your work here and your collab with Craig with the coverage on both channels for that build. You seem to have a calm passion for what you do and a good rapport with your crew that makes the channel enjoyable. Keep up the great work!

You just told another user you wanna make it correct and keep it faithful to the scene at the stop light, sorry but the one at the stop light didn't have 70 taillight trim, nor did it have AC and everything was covered in sheet metal, but you guys wanna go off and make the Supra as "Correct and faithful" as it was at the stop light, from a 25K paint job, correct placements for everything, proper interior, and we all know the correct decals, but wanna treat the charger like it's a Honda civic, I get you want AC and etc. But why not do it accurately and then go back later on and add everything back instead of having users complain that it's not even gonna be movie accurate when this is something alot of people have waited on

You really don't want AC do you? We can all appreciate your stance on it but the interior isn't complete yet. Who knows what the future holds for this?
