Indeed. The Ottoman Sultan Abdülmecit sent £1,000 to the Irish people, despite their struggle themselves, to which we are forever grateful. This is why we were one of the first nations in Europe to recognise the nationhood of Palestine🇮🇪🤝🇵🇸

The song is about a failed uprising in 1916 when all of Ireland was administratively united (as a part of the UK) I should've however used a different map in the later part of the video

@@jamesbarnes4964 i mean, you were forced to cede the creation of the republic and then the IRA tactic of economic damage sucessfully pressured the uk into the GFA. In both instances the Irish got a result significantly closer to their initial goals than the British.
