I owned a 2013 FFE for about six years, purchased used in 2016. I loved it, met my needs as a commuter very well. Good points: I think the Focus is one of the best handling FWD cars made. The EV is obviously heavier, so a bit less dynamic. But the steering is just *chefs kiss*. At low speeds, it’s very quiet - less motor whine than my current Bolt EUV. Mine was pretty rock solid in terms of reliability. The only real repair needed was the backup camera became glitchy and needed to be replaced. But that brings me to a huge downside. The battery pack in these cars is liquid cooled; great right? But a fair number have experienced a flaw where coolant leaks into the upper battery pack, which causes the car to shut down. That’s bad, but worse is Ford has ended all support for this car. If the battery has an issue, the car is junk unless you’re able to find a good battery from a crashed car. It *is* possible to fix the coolant leak within the battery, but there are basically zero repair shops that are willing to open it up and work around the high voltage system. So if you’re a DIY person willing to take the risk of working around ~300 volts, this is the car for you. To everyone else, buy an old Leaf.

I have a 2018 FFE it's got a bit of power it pulls pretty hard and the kinetic braking I've been driving for 3 days and didn't have to charge it once I got 88 mi budget and I keep gaining miles instead of losing miles.

the spark had more room in the back. but only 80 miles range before i had to charge. since no quick charger nearby, 4 hrs every time

So I bought one for 5k same spec with 40k 1 on wet. I have a 9 mile round trip to work. It’s works great. It my only car for now but I’m a single gal who just scoots around town and charge up at night. But mostly once a week. If I need to go further I just rent a gas car When I tell people it’s electric their mind is blown. Because no one has ever heard of it. I plan on getting a longer range ev. But I’ll keep my ford until it fails.
