Tested my 2019 Ford ranger Lariat with a 4700 lbs trailer, and was very impressed with it. At highway speed and going up and down hills. Didn't really need to apply the trailer brake controller for increased gain for stopping. Had a good sway control and leveling kit installed. Switched lane with no sway. with the trailer hooked up the front and back of the truck were only 1/4" lower.

You “tested” it with a super light trailer… my 2000 ranger pulled loads of scrap metal that makes your load look cute.

Hell yes it can. Tow a 4k lb TT with a good WDH and brake controller. Very capable truck. No regrets on my 2019 XLT 4x4.

@@keithimmel4275I’ve got 29,000 miles on my 2019 ford ranger lariat fx4 runs fine and I’m getting around 25 mpg in the thing when I reset going 60 mph love it so far owned a 2014 ford f150 lariat 3.5 liter and was getting about 12mpg with 35s on it lol had 113,000 miles on it before I traded it in for the ranger definitely enjoy the ranger more so far.

True story re towing: I was pulling a 1500 lb at most boat on a trailer and one of the trailer bearings blew out at 70 mph. The wheel stayed on somehow. The truck didn't even feel the extra drag from the bearing blowing up! I didn't know I had a problem until I got home and the trailer wasn't responding quite right while I was trying to park it!

I will stick with my 2015 F150 for pulling a 26 foot 4500/5500 pound Jayco 224BH. You may want to check your Payload Capacity 😂 Just because it can pull it doesn't mean its safely or easily stopped!

Mm sorry but no, the ranger is just too small to handle an RV, unless u have ideal conditions, once a little bit of wind hits it, its dangerous, just yesterday there was an accident with a Ranger pulling an RV East of Dallas

Why do you say this? They weigh the same as 2000 era half tons that people had no trouble with...they aren't much smaller either. Wrecks can happen with any combo, but facts are facts..... this can easily tow that camper safely.

Yes it is. Fuel efficient of a car and power of a truck. Includes pulling. Thats why i got a Ranger. Being able to pull with out spending crazy money on a ram or f150.

If you actually went 80-90 mph towing a trailer I would honestly recommend you stop towing anything because that is dangerous. Max speed towing a trailer is 60. Anything over 70 is an irresponsible death wish.
